He'll be ok for Edmonton riding alongside McDavid. Capable of scoring 25g while being his usual physically dominating self.

that 'drama' lol? years ago and all would be forgotten after his first big hit/goal anyway. as for the habs not being a cotender?lol they had one bad year if that makes them bad or no longer a cup contender lol yet the oilers have no little to no sucess in the past 10+ years if Lucic was smart he would stay away from oil Town Mcdavid doesnt make the oilers a cup contender they need to aquire more to even make the playoffs? The habs are still a playoff team , price got hurt and they lacked goal scoring which they can aquire tomorrow if they are willing to and they will be right back up there in the race for the cup.Like i said we will find out tomorrowNo Chia did not trade him, he was traded at the Connor McDavid draft when Chia was already the Oilers GM. I'd be fairly surprised if he signed with MTL after all that drama in the playoffs, and I don't think MTL is exactly a contender at this point either.

Salty? I'm ****ing ecstatic. As soon as it was rumoured he was going to FA, I was scared ****less. He is David Clarkson 2.0.

oilers need size desperately. lucic fits that mold. add in maroon and nurse and they are starting to have that balance of size and speed to win
Salty nucks fans in what way? Most of our fans wanted nothing to do with him, earlier this week on tsn1040 a poll was asked who the canucks should pursue in free agency, lucic received fewest votes. Just because fans did not want anything to do with him and still dont, does not make them salty. Im sure he still has a special place in your heart.
Unless you think were salty because he played in boston and dont want him due to 2011, while i could care less about that you would have more of a case then the above.
I actually really like Eriksson to the Nucks if I'm a Nucks fan and being objective. I think he'd be great for you guys.
Lucic fits EDM perfectly, our situation is different than yours.
This is true. I don't think Lucic would be bad on Edm, I think he could really do well there. It's more the cap hit and term I'd be concerned about.
Gretzky escorted him into the new arena and they played him a promotional video on the new jumbotron. The video contained 30 minutes of McDavid highlights with play by play done by Morgan Freeman. Apparently Lucic teared up and asked for a pen but Pope Francis told him to "be patient my child"hes in win now mode man thats pretty obivious canucks aren't and oilers arent eithier yet anyway he hasn't flat out said no to the oilers because of Mcdavid just don't see a fit there if he truly wants a cup and not just the pay day id say he would sign with a legit cup contender elsewhere.

Lucic and Clarkson aren't even comparable and you know that. You can hate the signing, but Lucic is in a tier that Clarkson never was.

Big, slow power forwards like Lucic have historically slown down and become ineffective into their thirties. If he's on a 7 year deal, that brings him til he's 35, and with the rumoured salary amounts, since Edmonton has competition, he just might get 7 mil from Chiarelli... That type of contract could handcuff you and cause you to have to give up younger, more effective players just to stay within the cap later on down the line. He may work for Edmonton now, but the point is, the Canucks can't afford to have another terrible contract.
What will a desperate Jim Benning do?
He has 15M in cap space and is gunning for the playoffs with a roster that finished 27th last year. Oh boy
Doug McClean on Sportsnet just spoke and said Lucic may re-sign with LA tomorrow
