Some of you people are ridiculous  The sedins are still low end 1st line players who slow the game down and control the pace of the game in the offensive zone like no others.
At 36, I'd still expect a solid package.

Sergachev+DD/Emelin+1st for Both Sedins 50% RETAINED

Oh, and enough with the terrible playoff players bull****. Sedins are close to point per game players in the playoffs :help:

Forget Sergachev being traded!
Too much value.
For years to come

And for all the slams he gets. So far Shinkaruk and McCann have accomplished jack all and Sutter has almost doubled Bonino's production yet again. ;)

And Panik was gonna win the Richard. Unless you think Sutter will still be 3rd in pts on your team, in which case I hope Nolan Patrick likes Vancouver.

In 24 playoffs games, Bonino has 2 less points than Sutter in 39 regular season games through 2 years. Bonino had more points in the regular season last year than Sutter in both years combined.

Sutter played twenty game last year. And it took Bonino forty to actually catch up to him. I'm also absolutely certain Kessel and Hagelin had nothing to do with his sudden turn around.

And I hope he does too. We're not a playoff team. So I'll welcome Nolan Patrick happily.

And I'm sure Sutter playing 17+ minutes 17/19 games and spending some time on the Sedin wing has nothing with his above average production this year. ;)

Back on topic, we're not the Twins away from the cup, so no deal.

This would be done during next year's trade deadline, with Vancouver retaining max salary on both twins.

To Montreal:
Henrik Sedin, Daniel Sedin

To Vancouver: 2018 1st, Thomas Plekanec and Nikita Scherbak or Noah Juulsen

The twins on a terrible Canuck team at 36 are they only line teams have to check and they still are positive players on the ice. Playing as second options behind Radulov-Galchenyuk will be a perfect situation for them having a Gallagher/ Pacioretty on their wing.

Thoughts?

Plekanec is junk now. No thanks

That's not happening. Sorry but why is it that you only offer them to us? Why not the Rangers, Penguins etc..

1) Because this is a Sedin twins to Montreal thread

2) I can see the Ranger but why again does Pittsburgh need more forwards? Idk I'd trade them there if they want them but IMO they need dmen

Sorry. But I'll take Paccioretty and Gallagher on the 2nd line over the Sedins. Hard pass on any proposal that has Montreal on the hook for the twins for the next 2 seasons.

I would go after that Sedin that plays LW. Imagine Sedin - Chucky - Rads instead of Byron?
Would prob go after the other one, but at a low price if possible.

They aren't elite 1st liners anymore but could still be a great 2nd line for a contender.

What you're talking about isn't a contender. True contenders don't have a 2nd line so bad they can essentially scrap it and move the Sedin's into their place. A team that needs a whole new 2nd line is a bubble team at best

True bubble teams wouldn't be leading the league in the standings 20 games in.

In fact, Byron is perfect there because he brings the speed, the awareness and the dirty nose that we need to go with them. We cant win on playoffs without speed, a little bit why I dont want the twins there. We'll not win with people who try to slow the game.

That said, I would take a shot at Daniel alone.... mayve

This is a weird thread. The Sedins are garbage? Ridiculous.

I don't see how Montreal could be worse by adding two thirds of a very good 2nd line. The two pieces being LW and C is actually perfect, as the only surfeit is at RW.

Provided that they don't cost too much in assets and salaries wash out, I would be very eager to find a way to make this deal as Montreal. But Plekanec and Desharnais would have to go the other way, which might not be very compelling for Vancouver, even with a modest choice of prospects, draft picks and depth players.

The Sedins would make Montreal pretty dangerous. Right now they have one explosive line (with a career 4th liner on it) and a committee of 9 or so other forwards who chip in. The Sedins with Gallagher, for example, would give Montreal a very good 2nd line and 2nd PP forward unit, and allow them to play Pacioretty on the top line. They eat minutes, play a possession game and if they get hot, then they take pressure off of Galchenyuk and Radulov.

I doubt the Sedins are available, and I doubt more they would go for cheap, at least in terms of what Montreal could offer (a bunch of salary and B level assets). So the discussion is kind of pointless. But anyone who says they wouldn't take them, even if Vancouver was doing them a big favour and taking a big discount on the return, is just talking weird, I think.

Well I don't think they are garbage, but Canucks fans seems to want way too much for them for the trade being viable. But if we can get them for some picks or prospect other than sergachev, I would think about it. (with retainer because of the cap)

So... basically we're doing Montreal a massive favor for mostly nothing. Yeah, no. It'll be Sergachev+ or nothing. And I'm perfectly content with nothing from a Canucks perspective.

you honestly believe bergevin will give up sergachv for the sedins?
nothing it is

Just the fact that they'd have to be protected in the expansion draft is enough reason to say no
