He just sucked with the Hawks.

His effort was not exactly good with Hawks so he has plenty of blame to take in situation

Also he has actual NHL coach and good players around him in Carolina so it isn't surprising his performance has ticked up somewhat

In its wisdom the NHL fines Domi for a hit that was basically harmless but it came late as time was expiring and caused a kerfuffle ...... yet a blatant chicken wing elbow to Marner's head during the game gets nothing.
