Bold statement Tyson. Don't think I ever been particularly down on Xhekaj aside from recently. It should be clear to everybody this season that he is a major liability on the ice.
It seems every recent post i have seen from you regarding Xhekaj has been negative. I get it he has not been good but the team gave up 8...he isn't the only one and it seems he gets hammered more than most. The kid barely has 100 games over 3 seasons.

Whatever you do don't criticize the coaches or the leaders...

Just turn it into something positive:
- Matheson has the elite skills of always aiming at skates and shin pads, with a muffin shot. Great killer plays.
- Suzuki give the most amazing pre-game speech, they make his teammates super calm and ready for a nap.
- MSL concepts are great, if someone enjoy hockey it surely mean they will be good at hockey one day.
- Gallagher's baldness is an intimidation factor (works for Laine too).
- Dvorak is such an elusive player, nobody sees him coming.

This team needs character players, talented forwards, good defensive defensemen ,better goalies and an NHL caliber coach.
I'm very interested to see how Cooper or Maurice would win games against experienced teams with experienced defense and a defenseman like Montour with a kindergartner on defense, players who can't handle the puck, obviously noticeable skating issues (3 games in 4 days), I'd rather not talk about the shot.

One more thing, I didn't expect Dvorak to be so terrible.

@vokiel , maybe, I does not know your system so good so I will believe you.

Don't forget that David Savard is our most fluid skater!

Goaltending & defensive positioning was shit - again. Montembeault killed us in 1st period. The game wasn't a blow-out type game in the 1st half.

Dvorak is not an NHL player. He sucks. Dach can't play center he sucks. Kapanen played well tonight & deserves a good look at the center position. Stop with the 4th line wing for him to play f***ing Dach & Dvorak who are killing this team with their dog shit play at center. Dach was -3 again. Like come on Marty, the guy can't play center.

I would go with Suzuki, Evans & Kapanen as the 3 centers. Just f***ing waive Dvorak.

Once Guhle comes back, which hopefully is next game. I can see the defense pairings be: Hutson-Guhle, Matheson-Savard, Struble-Mailloux; in which case I would seriously suggest converting Xhekaj to LW. This was actually one of Mailloux's better games.

Good to see Slafkovsky back.

Caufield - Suzuki - Slafkovsky
Dach - Kapanen - Newhook
Anderson - Evans - Gallagher
Xhekaj - XXXXX - Heineman
Armia & Dvorak can sit with Pezzetta.

He gets hammered more than most because he is playing worse than most. Not that the other players are perfect (e.g., Montambault), which I have acknowledged. But Xhekaj's mistakes are minor-leaguer bad. Saying this, he had a good game against Philly, aside from the Sanheim goal.

I always assumed in the past that Xhekaj was going to be a 5-6 D on this team for 10 years. I don't see this anymore.

He was good against St. Louis as well. He needed and perhaps still needs more AHL time.
