He definitely needs more AHL time. But he will be 24 soon, and time is running out. I just don't see him playing above Guhle, Hutson or Struble, and the team will give every chance to our RHD to make it.
Struble isn't better right now. He was good in pre season but now, he make plenty of mistake and turnover and that's why he's not used much

I think his future lies elsewhere or as a 4th line LW
4th line LW means that is a Ryan Reaves/Nic Deslauriers-type player, meaning worthless most of the time. His brother can play this role for us more effectively.

His future is on D, but elsewhere I'm afraid. He will slowly improve, but he will always play on crap teams on the bottom D pair. It's a shame, but it's getting close to a point for us where we will have to let this go. Seeing the reaction I'm getting from my comments on Xhekaj, the fanbase will go crazy over letting go of Xhekaj.

It is the subject of management and it is the object of management. You can tell that Columbus doesn't have a strong team either. But the Blue Jackets have Werenski, Provorov, Severson. Jack Johnson uses his experience and Christiansen has pleasantly surprised. In addition, our first line is the best in the NHL (look at stats in 5v5), the second line has two classic centers - Fantilli and Sillinger, the third line Aston- Reeves - Danforth - Olivier is extremely aggressive, has great forechecking and is scoring goals at the moment. That's why Evason is in an easier situation than St. Louis.

In your first line Caufield has problems with playing without the puck, second and fourth don't have a center, defense is kindergarten. You've played 3 games in 4 days, it must show.

When Laine comes back he will lead his line, had 1 PPG for us with Jenner and winger Roslovic at center. But you need an enforcer and a tough, experienced RD.

Jumping on the tank bandwagon, this team is $#!+ we need another top 5 pick, st louis is a coach for the rebuild can't wait till hes gone, newhook, andersen, dvorak and armia need to go by next year max.
You know, it won't matter how many top 5 picks you get if fundamentally your team is not built or coached properly. The Habs were competitive with far less than that previously. Although the team could use additional talent, it won't matter if guys like armia and Anderson are prioritized.

Robidas as defense coach is a travesty and I have no idea how that eternally mediocre dman would one day rise to coach it. Coaching has been a massive problem for the Habs since Julien left. Just a turnover of garbage.

imagine complaining about Arber this game, when Savard looks like he should retire, the goalies were shit, Dach was -3, Dvorak is collecting millions and f***ing off, Struble and Mailloux both took bad penalties, our favourite golden boy Hutson was a -2 and also missed defensive assignments. i can go on

Agreed. Everyone is down on the coaching staff, which is understandable, but his message and actions weren't compatible this summer. Yes, Laine is nice, but there's so little quality experience in the lineup and the defense is just too young to compete. I don't mind it as I can tolerate another tanking season, but it was their message that they'd be in the mix.
Already their second game of the season going down 4-0 in the first 11 minutes at home. Can’t have many more like that.

If the message was to be in the mix then they misread their roster. And that’s concerning. Defence was way too young. 2 experienced guys and a bunch of youngsters.

Barron regressing, Jackeye regressing hard, Struble hasnt changed much. Defense is a clusterfawk, Robidas has become the forgotten guy

Burrows was rightfully criticized for the PP. when it comes to the defender, the biggest issue is everyone thought we would see some evolving of the defense. Under Robidas we just havent

Is a team ever going to win with two goalies with a .500 and .769 sv%, and a 14.25 and 4.86 GAA?

The team defense shouldn't get a pass, but lets be real about what really cost them the game.
