Some odd picks knowing now there were no trades.
one thing for sure - they definitely are going Offense #2 in the draft. Gotta be Beniers you’d think.
 
Ok, now seeing that tweet it makes a little more sense. Guess we wait until tomorrow to see the other side of this expansion draft.
 
I am even happier now that Blake protected Brown and that we didn't end up like the Flames. I am a little puzzled by the Kraken though and their selections. Just have to wait for the dust to settle to see what the plan is/was and where they stand. There has to be something else or another shoe that has to drop because many of their selections are more than a little weird.

There were rumors that Seattle asked for a 1st and 3rd rd picks in exchange for not selecting Giordano. Treliving would've been chased out of town if he took that deal. Besides, Giordano is 38 years old and has been really declining in recent years. They weren't going to lose one of Tanev, Andersson or Hanifin.

Yeah it's really bad. That team is loaded in decent second pair and bottom pairing defensemen, but the forward group is an absolute disaster at the moment. Lets see what Francis can do...

We're all very knowledgable hockey fans but honestly I haven't heard of at least a quarter of their roster. Bastian, Twarynski, Appleton, GEEKIE... WHO???
 
I am confused: are the deals being announced tomorrow the deals made ahead of time so that they'd pick one player rather than another, or are they already trading away some of the players they announced tonight?
