I wonder if the Kraken are going the opposite route of the VGK and go for a traditional rebuild rather than a bubble contender and deal a lot of their new found players, position, and capspace for futures and try to get a high-end prospect pipeline going.

I think your on the right track. The next few drafts have potential franchise talents at the top of them. Nothing wrong with slow playing things if that’s the route.

I think we will find out more tonight with regards to the side deals and what type of returns Seattle is getting.

I guess we’ll see at 5 what other trades happen, but I definitely think Francis dropped the ball with that roster. I liked how it started with the oleksiak and Larsson signings, but after that, meh.

Pretty sure I was saying the same thing about Vegas tho so what do I know…

This doesn’t help with the too many forwards problem.

Iafallo – Kopitar – Arvidsson
Kempe – Vilardi – Frk
Andersson – Byfield – Brown
Moore – JAD – Wagner

Lemieux, Grunstrom, and Lizotte extras.
Wagner, Frk, and Lizotte should have a one way ticket to the Sun.

Krakken have tons of D. Maybe Blake makes a deal for Dunn?

Why on Earth would they take such a shitty dman that the Blues constantly shat on? The book on Dunn is that you can look inside his ear and see out through the other side.

How's it going to work announcing any trades? Guessing during the xdraft when each teams up, similar to the entry draft. 'We have a trade to announce' amongst the chorus of boos raining down on gary

Why aren't we talking about the fact the Kings wanted to try MacD at forward? If this is true, shouldn't we wonder just how much crack this organization is using

I think they just want an enforcer around to protect the kids. Plus MacD was well liked in the locker room…

I also think people are forgetting MacD was an ok #6/7 until this season…

If Mac was even slightly bit competent as an NHL player I'd be rooting hard for him. I don't see why they'd even consider blocking some kids ice time for MacD

I mean if you have to play MacD he's less of a detriment to the team as a forward. You can play him less minutes and his mistakes won't be as costly. That was probably the thinking.

I doubt he's good enough of a skater to catch anyone on the forecheck though. Reaves is a decent skater at least, that's why he's able to get in and crush people against the boards.
