I know by rule it was not a great call, but I would be thrilled if intentional grounding was enforced that way going forward. Using a little common sense goes a long way. Stop calling it on obvious miscommunications between WR and QB, and start calling the ones that are blatantaly just throwing it away, even if the receiver happens to get into the frame by the time the ball dribbles over the sideline.
