Buffalo Bills Season over. Ow.

Some Spotrac-ology.

Restructured Allen, Miller, Milano, Knox with no void years.

Traded Elam to the Giants for Jalin Hyatt.

$17M is cap space even with draft picks factored in ($14M if we just outright cut Miller).

Need to re-sign Hollins, Gilliam, and Johnson. Ferguson too. Morris is a RFA, Van Demark and Anderson are ERFAs.

A trade for Garrett doesn't add a lot to this coming season's cap. A trade would get two years of him.
Miller is getting cut.

Is there much to be gained from restructuring Allen? His cap hit is already almost as low as it will go, right?

I wonder if they give Knox a small extension to get his cap number down substantially while also giving him slightly more guarantees.

Regarding LB, I'm once again hoping they take a swing on a blitz specialist LB. Someone like Ivan Pace that is traitsy and productive but undersized to play edge like where you'd otherwise want him. McDermott did great things when he inherited Lorenzo Alexander, but hasn't coveted a player like him since. Day 3 pick that could add some versatility to the defense.

I showed Miller both ways in case anyone was interested.

I have to check on the Allen re-structure. Spotrac puts an ad on their roster builder that prevents me from doing anything with Allen. At least off my iPhone.

I think Knox and Milano have some benefit to re-structuring.

My pet roster position is big RB who can handle short yardage. Especially now that the Chiefs showed everyone a way to have a better shot at defending Allen.
