3rd line was great, I thought Haula felt off until the 3rd period
4th line was fantastic, I'd like to get Nate in tomorrow but don't know if you can sit any of them.

1st pair was solid but Dougie seemed a little too eager to jump up the ice
2nd pair was solid
Luke was great, I want Miller in for Smith tomorrow

I thought you could partially blame him for the way he played the puck on the first goal against, he probably put them in a bad position with that one, but it wasn’t a giveaway to the other team and he had no chance on the way the shot actually went in.

He had a couple robberies tonight, but also got beat clean on 2 post shots. That said, he deserved the 2nd star.

Agreed. It didn't translate into points but he looked a lot more comfortable with the puck on his stick tonight than he did in preseason. He knew how important that camp was for his career and I think there was a big weight lifted off his shoulders with him being in the lineup for opening night.

Having Nosek out there as opposed to Wood will help SO much defensively. You’re not as worried about the blown coverages and don’t feel as bad having them out there against scoring lines from time to time as a result. Wood was a master at losing his man defensively.
