Agreed. It didn't translate into points but he looked a lot more comfortable with the puck on his stick tonight than he did in preseason. He knew how important that camp was for his career and I think there was a big weight lifted off his shoulders with him being in the lineup for opening night.

Holtz in the first period looked like he’d never played hockey in his life. Holtz the last two gave me some hope we could see better from him

I don’t think he forgot. That’s a situation where you just ice it anyways and take the faceoff (which is why teams are allowed to ice it on a conventional 5v4)

Ugh don’t buy the (fake and unwarranted) hype. They are not a sneaky good team. I’ve only ever heard THG on YouTube refer to them as “good” before tonight lol. Even the “Hard working” meme pumpers don’t claim they’re good. Well, THG is one of the bigger mouthpieces of that, but he didn’t describe them good until this off-season.

They just aren’t the worst team in the league either.

And in a way, the hard-working memers almost make them sound like the worst team ever, that only win more than 8 games a season because of how hard they work lol.

They had 4 shots on goal while allowing 1 and provided energy. That's about as good as you can ask
