Bourbon is the way to go. Decent, but not great scotch is now well over 100 bucks. Cdn rye whiskey ok, but lacking the subtleties of inexpensive bourbon. Surprisingly, got some good cognac last year on sale at the LCBO, wish I had bought more

Bourbon is great. Especially with hot apple cider.
