GDT: - season game 46 LA Kings vs Columbus Blue Jackets @4:00pm 1/25/25

Moving those guys would be the tough decision for Blake I was talking about. He could also approach Fiala and Gavrikov about waiving.
I imagine Turcotte is on the block with how Hiller just doesnt seem to like him.
Hillier is an idiot if that is what he sees. That elite skating skilled puck hound should be starting OT with Byfield. That kid just hunts pucks and makes plays. He is showing us why he was a top 5 pick. We gave up on Vilardi to fast after his development was slowed with injuries, we better not do the same with Turc

Here's Moore's game log..

Since he and Lewis came back 9 games ago.. Kings have 2 or less in every game except for Van 5-1

I dont think they will move him due to the value on his contract - I think 3 x 875k - thats a great contract for his skill level.

While he never has been a “fast” so much as a “quick” skater, he has appeared to be skating in mud since his return.

Without the wheels, he isn’t a very effective player.
He does the Iafallo disappearing scoring act - where he puts up points for a period of time then is invisible for giant stretches. This happened before a couple times w him - and everyone said he's injured and we need the old Moore back. Its a weird pattern.

Since his return? He's been horrible all season
I was trying to be nice. I thought there was a noticeable drop in his play starting in last years playoffs. He seemed more timid.

He bobbled the puck like it was a hand grenade tonight. His partner in crime Phil has looked a bit better lately.

Turcotte - Byfield - Kempe. Fast and skilled
Fiala - Kopitar - trade Scoring 2
Foegele - Danault - Laferriere. Checking line
Jeannot - Helenius - Lewis/Thomas Boom line

Would trade Moore and prospect for a right shot scorer. Younger and better the scorer the better the prospect and picks. Dylan Cozens would fit the bill now and in the future. Two big bodies in Kopi and Cozens give the pent up Fiala more space to move and a shooter in Cozens.

Kings outplayed them by a wide margin but had nothing in overtime. If they had some goal scorers thats an easy win in regulation. Blake is going to have to make some tough decisions on who goes in order to bring in the needed pieces. It is unrealistic to think just adding a tweener winger with whatever capspace they have is going to be the difference.
Blake has nothing to trade at the TDL...doubt the franchise is going to let him peddle more first rounders or Greentree to bring in a RWinger or Scoring Forward...he's done enough damage and our Scouts haven't exactly hit out of the park either...but hey maybe LA goes beyond the first round and saves Blake's bacon...weirder things have happed

Columbus was 7-2-1 in their last 10 and 16-5-3 overall at home before this game.

Kings were still much better. If you play like this every game, there is not much to worry.

Fiala wanted to get off the ice because he was hurt in that last sequence but that was impossible.

Still horribly lazy vs. Marchenko.

Its just fixing the powerplay and capitalizing on more chances.
Theyve settled into Hillers system now so its easier to see what works and what doesnt.
Blake has a month to decide if he wants to let them play through it and figure it out internally or bring in outside help.
Otherwise I agree they played a good game its nothing like the Pittsburgh game the other day.
