Prospect Info: Sean Farrell, C/LW, 124th Overall

Can't wait to see him play with Kirby Dach!
He had chemistry with Slaf in the preseaon.

My ideal lineup next year is:

Caufield - Suzuki - Dvorak (Get Dvo's value up to trade him)
Slafkovsky - Dach - Farrell
RHP - Monahan/Evans - Heineman (If Monahan gets healthy, but not by the TDL, extend him 1 yr)
Gallagher - Evans/Belzile - Ylonen
Pitlick, Pez

I really the idea of line Slafkovsky - Dach - Farrell. 2 big skilled guy with Farrell, to protect him. That's potential to become a really solid line right there.

I like this line a lot too. Dach needs to improve his faceoff skills but playing with Slaf and Farrell would help him. Farrell is really good at getting the loose pucks and Slaf we don't know yet how good he's going to be.

Agree. Slafkovsky is already a good top 9 player right now, I really liked what I see from him before his injury. When he is going to have top 6 minute, he will show his great talent. I'm 100% confident of that, like Suzuki and Caufield when they are younger. Slafkovsky, Dach and Farrell can easily have good chemistry, they have high offensive talent and fun to watch!

There is going to be an interesting battle between our NHL ready guys. Slaf, Heineman, Farrell, Ylonen, RHP, and Mysak might creep into that mix. If Slaf shows up to camp next year and doesn't take a step forward, it's very possible he starts in the AHL with Mesar.

Then we got guys like Roy, Mesar, Beck, Kidney, Kapanen, Tuch right behind them.

Laval should be better as time moves forward. This season was a bit of a black hole in terms of injecting more talent from our pool.

Very curious on who stands our more.... Heineman or Farrell. Heineman to me is physically ready but Farrell is a very skilled/smart player.

that line has no shooters all those guys have a pass first mentality i dont think it would work that well

Fair point. But Slaf is a shooter, Farrell can shoot, and Dach's scoring touch may come out playing with them.

Maybe RHP and Heineman play with Dach and Slaf and Farrell play with Monahan/Evans.

I want Dvo with Suzuki and Caufield. His trade value has gone way too low. Need to get him producing.

It could go either way, but if I had to guess right now I would say NHL.

He's going to have to battle both Ylonen and Heineman who are more physically ready. I'm curious to know how many potential open winger spots we got for next year. That's going to matter a lot.

Not unexpected. It's time, and it sounds like it won't be a difficult signing.

I think we have been worried too much on players not wanting to sign with us in the past. Those are very rare exceptions in truth.

My first thought as well.

If Caufield and Slaf were healthy I would have preferred to see something like

Slafkovsky-Suzuki-Farrell
XXX-Dach-Caufield
yes that would work better and hopefully if the rumours are true we can add PLD to that top 6 i would have him on the first line with Suzuki/Farrell and Slaf with Dach/Caufield

I think this deadline will be quiet but will be in for a busy offseason with our 2023 picks,PLD rumours and i can see Anderson getting traded this summer

I bounced back and forth on Anderson so many times.. but with all the games we've seen, he just does nothing for so long.. I don't think he's gonna be an asset for us when its time to compete.

Dubois-Suzuki-Farrell
Slaf-Dach-Caufield

Jesus Christ that would be deadly.

That's why i think HuGo goes the trade route for actual solid roster players as soon as this summer.

-Too much A- to B type forward prospects. Not having roster spots for all of them going forward. For now, only Slaf and Beck are untouchables imo. And there will probably be 1 disponible spot left on the top 9 for guys like Farrell, Roy, Mesar and Ylonen. But those four with the rest of the prospects are absolutely disponible and good trade assets.

-A lot of quality picks coming in in the next 3 years : 5 X 1st round picks, from which 3 will be high 1sts (MTL's 2023, Flo's 2023 and MTL's 2024). 3 x 2nd round picks, from which 2 will be early 2nds (MTL's 2023 and 2025). Maybe couple of other good picks we get through trades, wheter it's this deadline, this summer or next year's TDL.

-A lot of cap space becoming disponible this summer and next's

Arizona has our 2024 2nd.
