Fair enough hahaIt's only fair to track his 6 whole games vs. when he gets 2 assists in a random game and a buncha people go REEEEEEEEE
In the end, he needs to be in a system that forces him to move his feet and be moving to where the play WILL be. His natural inclinations are incompatible with the modern NHL.Fair enough haha
So points (goals / assists) per game are about the same and his results /60 are also very similar, but he's getting almost 2 more minutes per game. What am I missing?KK's numbers are pretty similar in Seattle so far to what they were here in NY.
NYR- 30 Games- 4 Goals-10 Assists- 14 Points- 13.17 minutes
STK- 06 Games- 1 Goals-02 Assists- 03 Points- 15.27 minutes
NYR- .6 Goals/60- 1.5 Assists/60- 2.1 Points/60
STK- .6 Goals/60- 1.3 Assists/60- 1.9 Points/60
Similar is what I postedSo points (goals / assists) per game are about the same and his results /60 are also very similar, but he's getting almost 2 more minutes per game. What am I missing?
so... long story short is KK is a 30-40pt player until proven otherwise.
The hasty way that KK was vanquished tells me ...
Laviolette couldn't utilize him... Drury knew he wasn't an impact player...
And they realized the above after KK makes some backhand comments? They couldn't have made this determination sooner and gotten a better return.
This organization does everything wrong.. they mishandle everything practically.
Here’s my math: his six game easy projects to 30 by multiplying by 5 resulting in 15 points, 1 extra point than what he got with the Rangers but in projected 2m10sec x 5 = 11 min? So then this is pretty bad but only has 0.2 p/60 reduction? Does it suppose to make sense that only one extra point in 11 extra minutes has such a lower impact?Similar is what I posted
Slightly more per game.
Slightly less per 60.
Honestly he's the one ex-Ranger I'm pretty comfortable to predict that he wouldn't score. The only “guarantee” I’ll offer regarding Kaapo is that he scores in his first game against us.
It’s a “thing” with Rangers alumni
Hey here's the Kakko thread for everyone who wants to derail the other threads
Borgen was good last night. He clearly doesn't shy away from a physical battle and skates very well.

Doesnt fit the narrative. We traded a future all-star Kakko for a bag of pucks.
Borgen shows how checked out Trouba was. he's playing the simplest possible game and not backing down from physicality. Willing shooter. We're getting a better younger player for a fraction of the price.
I have seen some pluses and minuses so far from Borgen. More plus than minus but I do not like our defensive system in general. Too many things can go wrong. I'd prefer more positional hockey than guys following the puck so much.
you're not a "trade miller at all costs" guy? man i lose track of everyoneMy assumption at this point is to not judge these D-men too harshly based on the system. I think Fox and Miller are way too casual with the puck but the majority of the time they are doing what's expected of them. Injuries have sapped Lindgren of his strength. Feels like a Callahan situation where the team and front office loves his heart, but they also know an extension will be a posion pill.
