ProgressWell, Kakko got some 6 on 5 time down 3-1.
He is a net front player in the NHL. I've been saying that for years. That's how he would do well in the NHL.He was… not good

KK played a lot of shifts but not a lot of time. Not sure if that is his decision or a fluke.Well, Kakko got some 6 on 5 time down 3-1.
I hate you.The Borgen Identity
Seattle has zero offensive creativity whatsoever. That was a painful hockey game to watch. Kakko had one off the post but that was a very choppy game for his line and team as a whole.
So you’re saying we just need to draft a guy like Connor McDavid to get out of this? That should be easy.I’m sorry about what’s happening here. As a fan of a team with a history of ridiculous management, I know what it’s like.
And don’t forget Draisatl….So you’re saying we just need to draft a guy like Connor McDavid to get out of this? That should be easy.
Yall on brand writing Kakko off as a Kraken after his first game
Not to be lost in it all is his diet and medical needs with his diabetes and being Celiac .If things go the way they are we'll be trying to flip Borgen at the deadline. Maybe we'll get another 3rd. We won't be dealing with Kakko's next contract either. Just the silver linings here. Maybe a couple 3rd's and a 6th. Another couple/3 million to put towards the free agent market come July. We'll be swimming in cap space. And if somehow we offload Mika or Kreider.....hoozah!!!
I do really wonder whether that was the best that Drury could get. All the reports that there was a lot of interest for him and the mention of a number of west coast teams. If there was that much interest then the Rangers should have gotten more. To be fair I don't know that much about Borgen.....sometimes a player comes in and does surprisingly well....sometimes they don't. Sometimes a player needs to move on to do better. Your team is just not a good fit for them.
But anyway judging Kakko off of one game I don't know. Maybe. But you have to ask yourself. He doesn't know his new teammates or very many of them at all. Did he even get a practice in? How different is their system? What's he going to have to learn and unlearn? He's living out of a hotel for now? He's got to pack and unpack all kinds of shit once he gets settled. Where's his girlfriend in this? He's young sure but this is his first trade and there's upheaval to deal with. I'd wait at least a couple/three weeks before I'd start in with the 'same old player' shit.
I touched on this yesterday. I'm guessing Rangers med staff are working with Kraken counterparts on a transition. He had short shifts, so I don't know if he was a little spent from the sudden travel and other demands. But he did have a practice with the team before their game against the Hawks. Not to be lost in it all is his diet and medical needs with his diabetes and being Celiac .
