The Marcel Hossa comparison is a total f***ing joke my dude.

KK has hands for days, still offensive upside, more passing/playmaking than finishing, High hockey IQ, lacked confidence obviously (member JT Miller?).

There was a NHL.com fluff piece, players asked who is the best stickhandler on the team.

Adam Fox said Kaapo Kakko.
Actually better defensively Marcel Hossa is exactly spot on by @Hunter Gathers if you forget draft position.

Has this been published somewhere?
I don't know if it was published, but I'm telling you as a fact

The only reason he is in Seattle is because Laviolette shit on him instead of whom he should have shit on.

Soon Laviolette will be gone and Kakko's floor remains a good 3rd line player.

If he gets PP time he becomes a top 6 player.
I mean if you think Lavy is the only reason then I guess the other coaches didn't exist? It just didn't work here, but it's probably moreso bc nyr never properly supported him from day one. At this point it was a lost cause and everyone needed to move on.

Then you don't deal him. That's my point. He wasn't a detriment on the ice. Could he produce more? Of course. We all wanted that... it never happaned.

Doesn't mean you deal him for late rd picks a a shitty 7th d man.

Drury SHOULD have actively said "Nah"

He should be canned for this deal.
Again, he's an rfa in a few months, a UFA in a year. Nyr wasn't signing him longer term bc they didn't want to commit to big money. Kakko wasn't signed long term bc he didn't want to commit to small money. Everything had played its course and it was time.

Love the beat saying the Rangers have been after Borgen for a long time, like that makes it better. Also why the f*** have they been after Will Borgen for years?

Some fabulously spun damage limitation, until some discover who the heck he actually is and then everyone asks why on God's earth we have been in on him. I don't know which of the two is more worrying.

I mean, we've managed to get rid of statistically one of the worst D in the league over the last few seasons - and have somehow replaced him with... one of the worst D by statistical metrics in the entire league. Impressive, even seemingly by our standards of schmuckery.
