Fil still has that rookie can't get his nut off type of a shank thing. He has barely scored on wide open nets a few times and missed a bunch of other times. This is specifically a Fil problem. It's like the time in my 8th grade basketball team when I had the ball at center court on a breakaway and the nerves got to me and I tripped and scrapped my knee. Hopefully Fil works it out with some confidence. He's streaky and unsteady as a scorer.

The way Igor handles the puck if he were playing in the first two games we would have had a much better chance of winning at least one of them. He turns the play around a lot and he's a better goaltender anyway. I don't want to harp on Henrik--he's going to the HOF but Igor is clearly a better option than Hank.

Refs have missed some calls on the Canes--particularly the high stick by Svechnikov.

I mean Carolina didn’t even have a scoring chance until the 2nd period, we played exactly how we needed to in the first period. No early penalties or stupid brain farts, in the first period at least they started to creep in again in the second.
