That goal counts but the Meier goal from yesterday got overturned. This league is straight dogshit beyond belief.

Best sport but the league is ran by morons up and down. Also karma by the Avs coming back

Meh, in the name of the rule they technically got it right... It even says in the rulebook that the official "may" stop play. So its basically referees discretion.

Honestly where I take issue with the entire thing is.... Kelly doesn't hit Benson into Wedgewood at all. Benson is the guy who last minute makes a sharp turn to spin around Kelly and basically knocks himself into Wedgewood off of Kelly.

I really think had they taken a longer look at the play when Bednar challenged it, they would have called it back. But they looked at it for literally 10 seconds and went with what they saw on the ice.

Yeah, exactly... Kelly doesn't actually hit Benson. Benson turns around into Kelly and then falls into the net essentially.

Extremely weird play.

Kelly lifts his knee up under Bensons thigh and tips Benson into the Goalie.

It is 100% on Kelly

Right on. Kelly followed him closely and did not shove him.

It’s so stupid. All NHL needs to do is make a rule where if any player is seriously injured, you blow the whistle no matter what. Just one of the few things that the NHL can’t get it right

We should blow the whistle when a player breaks his skate blade too
