If you want to take a 700+ page book (from the looks of them) and make a true to screen version yes.... See Jack Ryan by Tom ClancyIs there really a need for a series?

I read the prologue before bed last night and knocked out all of part one this morning lolWind and Truth release date. Don't feel as enthusiastic because Rhythm of War just felt off to me. Probably will finish it eventually. Or maybe take my time when I'm in the mood because it's the last book in this half of Stormlight.
I thought I'm crazy. Way of Kings, Words of Radiance and Oathbringer were easy to finish. Easy to get hooked no problem reading that extra chapter when you know you need stop. Rhythm of War I'm reading it I'm like wtf is this? It's turned into an effort to get into the story.I read the prologue before bed last night and knocked out all of part one this morning lol
So far so good. Rhythm of War was such a slog to the point where it was almost hard to finish, Wind and Truth does not seem like it’ll have that problem.
You're not crazy at all! Most of the book alternated between unending physics lessons, boring flashbacks, and Kaladin Die Hard-ing his way around Urithiru. The ending was great, but everything leading up to it was a slog. I feel like that's the consensus opinion, anyway.I thought I'm crazy. I haven’t read the books but I’m watching the series now and it’s excellent. Really well done..Has anyone read the Wool trilogy? Just finished book 1 and I gotta say I’m a fan. Pretty cool sci-fi post apocalyptic thriller/mystery. Kept me guessing throughout. Apparently it’s a series on Apple + I’ll have to check it out.
I have a holiday break starting Tuesday. Will crack open Wind and Truth then.Welp, I have officially finished Wind and Truth.
Even for Sanderson that was a roller coaster of an ending.
This is way late, but if this means you need a breather, now is the time to read the Belgarion. I think I need to tag @trostol for this.Welp, I have officially finished Wind and Truth.

Great series..only one I think may proceed them is the original Dragonlance trilogyThis is way late, but if this means you need a breather, now is the time to read the Belgarion. I think I need to tag @trostol for this.
That was the first fantasy series I read post Tolkien in the 90's. Before WOT, before ASOIAF, there was David Eddings. I might have never even known about those two masterpieces without good ole Garion and Durnick(?)
They aren't going to blow your mind, but they are some really fun, easy to read fantasy books. Honestly, if you appreciate that kind of thing, those books are a touchstone on the walk down fantasy nostalgia lane.
TlDr: read David Eddings
Never read Dragonlance, but they were DnD, correct? Ravenloft was my slice of life for those books back then.Great series..only one I think may proceed them is the original Dragonlance trilogy
