I wanna see Drai have a 5 point game, he needs a big surge in confidence. It’s odd not having McDrai as #1/2 in scoring at this point
Drai also got robbed of an assist on the last McLeod goal. Drai wins the faceoff, gains the puck, works it out to McLeod with a good pass, gets clobbered with a hit, McLeod scores and no assist to Drai. At no point intervening did Jersey have the puck.

If this is a Vancouver CANnots they're giving two assists on every goal. Two of our goals were called unassisted last night, Only the Drai goal was and even on that one Mcleod could have been granted an assist as it was a 50/50 bounce to Drai.

NHL scheduling for once threw us fans a gift. A double pack of Oilers games against opponents that we are guaranteed to have entertaining games with. Doesn't get much better than Oilers against Jersey and Rangers in a two pack early present. The Jersey game was I found the most entertaining of the season. just a great game to watch.

Worth mentioning as well there was a buzz in the Jersey arena that comes only from McD and company coming in. Game was sold out for weeks and fans into it. Both teams were pumped. same in NYI, probably same today.

As much as we piss and moan about the club at times on this board every opposing fan circles this game on the calendar to attend or watch. Oilers are ratings and attendance. Like the 80's as far as the draw. More fans in seats now, more viewers on TV now.

ESPN was advertising this two-three game set as well. It was being promoted. Oilers games tend to be marquee.

Hopefully we get another good game tonight but much harder on the back2back and with players banged up.

Still, I wanted people to appreciate the moment. We don't know what will happen this season so we have to take the moments, and what a great game last night. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I love these 5:30 start times to end out the last week before Christmas...I know the wife hates it but nothing beats getting home and tossing on the game for supper

The Islander game was boring as shit. For me, the most entertaining by far was the Tampa game, despite the result. Best game the team has played all year, and only a virtuoso performance by the best goalie in the league prevented a difference, along with a less than stellar performance from our own goalie.

Going to the game tonight. Lets see what luck, or bad luck, I bring them. They came back from 3-0 down to beat the Rangers last year when I almost left after the 2nd but my group convinced me to stay so....Lets Go Oilers.
Are you a Rangers fan as well? Or just Oilers?

I think that's also a factor that gets teams pumped up. Including their goalies.

The Rangers are among the leagues elite riding their Russian goalie to the top of the East’s standings. We haven’t had much luck against Russian goalies but it’s high time we Javelin their Russian goalies ass.

Both starts vs. Edmonton in his career Shesterkin has allowed 4 goals against so there's hope. However, he still has a win despite allowing 4 both times.

nevermind see Quick is starting. Hopefully we see the Quick Edmonton lit up in the playoffs in 2022 instead of the one that shut us out in October.

Who was the last Oiler to wear 8? Geoff Sanderson? I don’t think it’s retired but I don’t remember a lot of players wearing it recently
Since Sanderson, who can forget Dean Arsene wearing it. Others since then, Derek Roy, Griffin Reinhart, Ty Rattie and Kyle Turris.

The only way to know for sure is to trade them Campbell and see what happens.
Some in New York have started to complain about Igor. C'mon Kenny make it happen.

They're going to need to get the PP going tonight to have a chance. Getting good looks on it but passing up great opportunities. Stop with the pretty shit and get some grease on their hands would be nice.

I thought it was boring too. My point was more about the Oilers being a primary draw for ticket sales and for viewers. Its basically one of the go to matches of the season in any opposing rink, even Calgary where they toss shit...

I actually enjoyed the Islanders game in the first period as both teams were really playing with pace. Then New York got a lead and did their turtle impression for the rest of the game

Sure. Islanders played a good game from their pov but not necessarily and entertaining game. A low point was a team on the PP in third and protecting the lead. It was kinda funny, but wise too.

Islanders were the team also to stop the Kings record road win streak, They come from behind 2-0 to win that game, They played well in that one too. Oilers still deserved better than they got I thought.

Merry Christmas all you aholes and turds is about as much as we get in lumps of coal here in man world. lol

I'm choked up with all these displays of affection. ;)

Somebody must be cutting onions.
