I can see the complaining but I really don’t think it’s as egregious as the reaction from Cooper makes it out to be. He’s acting as if they had 6 players on for a whole shift and all 6 touched the puck before scoring. Or Vasy got run over or even a bad goalie interference call or something. A lazy change like this almost never gets called regardless of whether it’s right or not.

Why didn't he challenge the goal? he didn't even realize the Avs scored... by the time he did.. was it too late for him to challenge?

maybe someone should spit in his face?

I actually find it funny, he gave no credit to Toronto or now Colorado during the series but did so against the Rangers. Why?

I think he knew they could beat the Rangers, but had genuine concerns against Toronto and now Colorado. Which ought to fly well around here but listen to his interviews. Today he basically said Colorado has just had bunch of breaks going their way. Against the Leafs he said that it was not the Leafs they just played bad. Ok....

By that token, he basically said the Rangers gave Tampa the toughest fight of the playoffs it seems in Cooper's mind.

Those games were close. Shesty kept them in it. So I think even Cooper knows it could have went either way.

Looking back, Tampa beat Dallas and Montreal. Dallas was a decent team and willed their way into the finals , but Montreal had no business being there. Last year was just a glorified ECF, wasn’t even a SCF (East vs West). They are finally facing a formidable foe, and are now down 1-3. Two close games and two blow outs. Been an interesting series lol.

They lost to Chicago, too, in the 2015 Cup final, and at some point lost to either Pittsburgh or Washington during the latter’s Cup run.
 
imagine being an elite center and sitting out of an elimination game because you realize you're too injured to play.
