Meanwhile Tampa had 8 on the ice, including the goalie...

All teams cheat on changes. It is a bigger problem that it might appear. I can remember Washington doing it a lot in a few of the series back in the mid 10's. Seemed like they always had an extra man on the ice.

Maybe it needs to be a point of emphasis next season.

In this case it had no bearing on the goal.

Last year, someone bitched about cross checks, and then the league oversaturated it by calling everything. Next year I’m predicting we’re gonna see a million too many men penalties because of the latest hissy fit from that smug arrogant Michael Keaton looking motherf***er.

Look guys, Sorry but this is only evidence for Tampa. Players 4 and 5 for Tampa are just getting on the ice and are out of the play as Avs players have clearly been on the ice long enough to have a clear advantage on the play. It was a 5 on 3. The AV furthest back initiated the play. I'm with you guys as far as not shedding any tears for Tampa. They've had more than their fair share of garbage calls /noncalls go their way. My point is officiating in NHL is horrendus.

I think technically it was too many men as Kadri jumped on the ice early and allowed Colorado to gain an advantage and catch Tampa in a change but that basically happens all the time and is rarely called unless the extra men getting off the ice are involved in the play. Cooper is going to whine to try to get an advantage in game 5 but I am shedding no tears as that team gets away with a ton of shit all over the ice.

Agreed. Technically I do think he is right because Kadri jumped on super early which set up the chance.

But Tampa gets away with SO much (the boldness with which Bogosian was interfering last night honestly made me laugh) and this has been generally let go for a long time now as long as the player going off isn't involved with the play.

the Stanley Cup FInal is like the Super Bowl...the refs aren't going to call much because they want the teams to decide for themselves who the champion is and it's better for TV viewership. the NHL doesn't want fans to point at the refs and say "we lost because they made a bad call." So they don't call much if anything. So far they are only call interference penalties for the most part.

Agreed, no tears for Tampa.

He knows what he's doing. Notice no one is talking about his team not touching the puck in overtime.

That is a play that happens all the time. Similar thing happened in Anaheim on the 3 on 3. Rakell jumped on the ice before the other player fully came off, and caught them in a change, scored the GW goal and it stood.

It's just nonsense, much like the offsides challenges based on millimeter differences. Bring back allowing neighborhood plays. Sports are being ruined by this type of stuff.

Last yr ECF.

It's OT of the SCF. Unless it's beyond bad, it's not getting called.

That one is also MUCH more obvious because nobody is even going to or near the bench, well the 6 guys, don't really care for the "7th" who is basically going over the boards and is a non factor like what Cooper is crying about yesterday.
