I watched this team all year. This is the Panthers with Bob playing the way he did earlier in the season and no Tkachuk. Matthew Tkachuk won't win the Hart Trophy, but he deserves it.

This might be the worst Stanley cup final I've ever watched. There really has been no excitement and Florida just collapsed. How did Boston, Carolina, and the other Eastern Team (Which I completely forgot about) lose to these guys.

What's worse is Florida is a team I watch quite a bit during the regular season. I like guys like Barkov and Verheghe but they have basically been no-shows. When the leader of the team can't play, the other guys have to show up. Florida didn't.

Boston played an injured Ullmark for 6 games and stupidly played Bergeron in the last game of the season where he got injured. Toronto's best players are choke artists/Matthews had an injured hand. Carolina had zero scoring talent with Svechnikov and Pacthes gone. Florida played extremely hard and got massively clutch performances - but they aren't the best team in the East, they aren't even that close.

People forget FL got in to the PO by the skin of their teeth on the last day of the reg season; it took lowly CHI to beat PIT in Pittsburgh for the panthers to make it. Its not as if they were a dominant team all season, they struggled for long stretches.

Vegas is a very complete team. Up and down the line up they have guys that could play on any first or second line.

Magic my a$$ they come back 3-1 against Boston, Sweep Carolina and beat the Leafs 4-1. Then in the finals Vegas destroys them 4-1 in multiple blow outs that made Florida look like a damn peewee team.Vegas had more challenge against Oilers and Stars.

Yea, and how many one goal games did they win? Nobody wins 7 OT games in one playoff run without magic.

Nah, The Panthers won the Presidents trophy last year, and they have higher end talent. Not as likely to be a one year wonder like that Canadiens team was. Their only similarity is their playoff records in a specific year.

The 2021 final was a lot closer than this years. Final game was 1-0 not 6-1 after 2 periods.
