Lucky? Skill? Whatever it is the Kings have it and the Rangers don't.

I'm proud of this Rangers team because I think they played VERY well and put in a considerable effort. The Kings are clearly the better team but we weren't blown out of the water in this series.... but realistically the Rangers winning this game or series is nigh impossible. I hope I'm wrong but the way LA looks... it will be daunting.

I was skeptical we had the horses against LA to win before it started but any other Western team and I think we're looking at being up 2-0 coming into this one. LA just matches up against the Rangers very well. They counter our D and goaltending very well and their offense is just worlds deeper... ts a tough draw for sure.

Why is criticism of Hank = to trashing him?

I personally am not trashing him. I just want him to be better than this. I want him to make those improbable saves that leads to him hoisting the Stanley Cup, and he's not making them. Been unlucky but damn, a couple of them at least.

He had no chance on any of those goals. G's skate, St. Louis' glove, and McD blocking a two on one pass right back to the passer. Done. Any goalie in the world is done on those 3 plays.

Just horrible, horrible luck.

**** that. I never give up and that is the type of **** attitude that LOSERS have.

You think L.A would be here with that same attitude down 3-0 in their series vs San Jose? No way.

That is why they are here right now.

One game at a time. That is the only way you look at it.

I never gave up when they were down 3-1 against Pittsburgh, and I won't ever give up on them if they go down 3-0.

That is the difference between being a die-hard, and a fair-weather.

Listen, buddy. You know nothing about me. I'm a die-hard fan. I've been a die-hard fan my entire life. I'm just a realist and pissed off that the series is going the way it is. I was born in '94 so I haven't even seen my team reach the SCF until now. I want this just as bad as anybody could. CAN the Rangers come back? Yes, and I really hope they prove me wrong. I'm just so drained and bitter that this team is in this position right now.

Rangers must keep fighting...who cares if you down 3-0...we got to put 1 by Quick then we'll see...Don't stop till the series is over...i'm ready for that comeback starting next period. Luv the effort in the second so keep pushing.

If these guys have it in them to keep fighting tonight, after all of the nonsense they've been through in this series thus far, then wow, they are special people. It has to feel to them like they're swimming against the ****ing Amazon River at this point. It's mind-boggling how one-sided the luck has been, and to me, that's a good thing because it's keeping me sane right now.

Yeah all those things happened.

The goals he gave up were tough.

But he's not getting it done.

Maybe he can build on the experience or will us back in the series somehow, but I don't care about bounces in the end, he needs to make the saves. Do you see Quick's saves on the other end? He's made some improbable saves.

It seems you severely underestimate the impact of sheer dumb luck.

Anyone saying the refs stole Game 2 from us with the King goal is crazy. You know, it's still 4-3 there. A game can be won by the score 4-3. Second, championship teams win through that. They win through adversity and bad calls. All teams deal with bad calls. Rangers have to battle back there and hold the lead. The refs didn't cost us the game, we cost ourselves the game. We lost and we can only blame ourselves.

No offense to Quick, but on any other team he is knocked out in the first round. Having a team score four goals for you every game is a big deal. I get that he makes timely saves, but those stats on any team that isn't a juggernaut would not suffice.

Quick is an incredibly overrated goalie because of one incredible season and playoffs. The rest of his career has merely been slightly above average to good. He has been great tonight however. If Quick is as great as they say it should be reflected in his numbers but it is not. Additionally his numbers should be even better than that because I'm told the Kings have an unbelievable defense yet they are not.

This team has nothing left.

The refs aren't calling any if the interference LA is using to neutralize our speed.

On top of that, we can't finish and LA is getting unbelievable puck luck.

I really felt we still had a chance heading into this game. I'm crushed, I really am.

im with u, and unlike most the weirdos here, im not mad at this team. we havent had a poor showing, its bizarre watching this series, we easily could be up 2-0 in the series and leading tonight. its a ton of bad luck, bad reffing, and the game 1 girardi f up. thats how stuff rolls sometimes, im not disappointed in anyone on this team aside from nash and richards (cut richards)

Difference is Kings are converting on their chances. We are not.

Yes, Quick has made some really good saves, but we have to bear down and score on some of these chances.

It's not a "dated reference", but I'm sorry if you don't like a different opinion. 3 goals on 13 shots. He wasn't terrible, but when you see the other goalie play very well, 3 goals on 13 shots is not going to get it done. The rest of the team has sucked too.

I wake up in the morning and the sun is out...using the above logic that would mean that the sun comes out because I wake up...

3 goals on 13 shots....because every shot is equal :help:

I didn't notice any of the shots at the other goalie redirected by anyone on the Kings or the NYR...hmmmmmm what a f'ing concept maybe the NYR should try that.

Then we can compare the 2 goaltenders performance :shakehead

I agree, but I refuse to put this game on him. The Rangers have had their chances. No finish, no puck luck, some pure idiocy of the coaching staff, and mr. de facto captain trying to play hero instead of actually helping the team, makes it tough for me to put a lot of the fault on Hank.

Yeah, he's not the main issue or anything, but plenty of goalies before him have flipped the switch and gone into "unbeatable" mode...and they, yes, made saves on deflections! He's the best goalie in the league, and his play needs to reflect that at this stage. It really hasn't.

Remember the feeling you had after the second period of game 2? Well. This is the complete opposite. My what a difference 48 hours makes.

No.

The ref LITERALLY cost the Rangers the game. Kings have a great defense and a great offense and we gave them 3 legal goals in regulation.

Rangers had the game stolen from them, and then **** the bed after the 1st period today.
