This vid is why the Kings have to put the Rags out of their misery tomorrow. They are on life support. FINISH THEM.

Katie Strang - ESPN NY beat reporter for the Rangers:

Wow, just wow.

I was wondering if it was just me, but when your beat reporter comes out and skewers your own team for their defeatist attitude, that speaks volumes to me.

My feeling is if the Kings get up early, maybe get the first two goals of the game in the first period, this one is over. Over.

Kevin Harvick (race car driver) posted a video on his Facebook of Rag fans leaving with three minutes left with the caption "where you going?"...

Apparently he's a huge Kings fan!

My new favorite driver! :D

(I don't pay attention to car racing.)

What a disgusting attitude.

The Rangers are full of defeated attitudes right now. It's written all over their body language in every interview I've seen, especially Richards and their coach. When the Kings went down 3 -0 to the Sharks, I saw nothing of this with the Kings. All I remember was Williams saying we're just focused on winning 1 game, nothing more.

Kings winning the psychological war. It isn't enough to bury NYR on the ice. Must crush their souls as well. NYR thought they were still in it after Kings stole 2 games in OT coming back against the vaunted NYR defense/goalie.... NYR thinks they have an edge going home to MSG... And Quick drops the hammer in his homecoming!!!

Just epically played and destroyed...

Oh yeah and SUCK IT AV!!!! Try to hide in the East!!! The Kings will seek you out!!!

Totally disagree.

Ducks were a constant offensive threat. You couldn't let up on them for one second. Game 7 notwithstanding, that was a tough series.

Do you forget we pulled game 1 out of our ass? And that they made us look god-awful at home in games 3 and 4?

I think things just happened. Don't get me wrong, they weren't bad. They're better than they were last year. Or at least, better than Colorado. The Kings were also forced to use Schultz and Greene, which happens, but the Kings were using two defensemen they otherwise would not have. If put in a series with the Rangers, I think the Rangers handle them.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I think the Ducks mop up the floor with the Rangers.

Harvick and Carter are also friends. Have been since Carter played here.

By the way I was watching "Rangers Stanley Cup Insider" on MSG Earlier tonight and they had the Blues coach Hitchcok on and he went on and on for like 10 minutes on why the Kings are so great. Worth checking out if you can find it or catch a repeat viewing.

It's still bugging me, lol...if Quick got half the rope the media was giving Lundqvist today, he could climb to the moon.

I can't believe we're so close, but I'm so happy the team attitude was all business...still feel strange that last game was so 2012-surgical, so calm after this chaotic playoffs.

 at Norm Nixon and Lisa Leslie giving the Kings advice on what to do in game 4!

It'd be pretty cool if someone could make a list of all the historic accomplishments the Kings have achieved this season.

If anyone has those kind of resources, please start a thread.

EDIT: how about over the last 3 seasons?

The quotes coming out of the Rangers locker room are pretty shocking. Compare them to the quotes from the a Devils in 2012:

http://blogs.northjersey.com/blogs/...ey_cup_finals_devils_vow_to_fight_to_the_end/

It's like night and day and probably why the Devils went on to win a few games. I'd be amazed if the Rangers can do the same.

I read an article today in the hockey news that pretty much suggested the same thing (Rangers far from upbeat staring down elimination vs. Kings in Stanley Cup final)
and this comment stuck out (coupled with his post game remark last night about having to play Wens because 'it's on the schedule)
"I'm not going to lie to you, it's pretty much impossible to be upbeat," alternate captain Brad Richards said.
And like you, I thought of the Devils and how impressed I was then at their leaders really rallying the troops, saying the right things and following it up on the ice.

Even after game 2, the Rangers had no luster in their eyes or post game talk. THey just don't appear to be mentally tough enough and that's HUGE in a Cup run esp with all the adversity a team faces. Night and Day difference in the leadership groups in the lockerooms.

And don't some of these analyst get that bringing up that the Kings were up 3-0 in 2012 and dropped 2, trying to compare it to this year, get that since then those 16 players that were on that team have now played close to 50 more playoffs games and have learned and grown.

I was very impressed with the Kings post game actions, and all their comments and body language, they ooze champion, they just reek of it.

And I think the Rangers have already given up and the Kings will be on a bloodhunt.

The Kings performance, Quick especially with those saves, was a Shang Tsung Mortal Kombat-esque soul steal if I've ever seen one. Drained the life out of them.

We've seen the Kings survival instinct. Now it's just time to see the killer instinct for the final act.

TSN video panel with McKenzie, Ferraro and Co discussing if the Rangers window has closed.
They stated that a large part of the Kings continued success is their depth, getting key contributions from so many players and underlined it by 11 different players having GWG's of the 15 scored by the Kings

And on the main boards, in the photoshop thread, is that same photo of Mike Richards but his right glove is holding a decapitated Statue of Liberty head with blood dripping from the neck....
