Clockgate is back! Rangers fans saying the clock stopped in the final minute of the 1st period and Carter's goal should not have counted!

Yes, really.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-p...er-goal-might-not-have-counted-153453756.html

Wait the clock at the self proclaimed "Greatest Arena on Earth" had troubles? No, I am sorry Rags fan, you can't have it both ways on this one and again is math not being taught at all in NY?

To whatever Rag fans might believe that there is actually a clockgate....

We won by 3 goals and they scored zero. Now to me 3 take away 1 still equals YOU LOST SO QUIT YOUR WHINING!

JEBUS they have an excuse for everything. Maybe that is why they are having the experience that they are having right now.

The last time I checked, the Kings won 3-0. Did I miss something on the other two goals and did the Rangers actually score a goal that I missed? Some of these fans are really pathetic.

Don't you know? Carter doesn't score there, the Rangers would've scored on all 5 of their PPs in the 2nd & 3rd periods. :sarcasm:

The game you guys played last night took any ounce of will out of the Rangers. Good lord, reading the quotes they sound so damn defeated  Finish it off tomorrow night. Sweep the leg and step on the neck.

To be honest, I now understand why ranger fans are the way they are. Their coach looked like he was ready to cry at the presser after the game. Their players soundif they have given up, and the new York media pumped up the ranger team as if they were the favorites coming in. How pathetic is it the players are now blaming puck luck as the reason for them losing?

lol .

Hank is making his team look bad. Nobody cared to respond on the main board but i basically said on there that their team needs leardership and they arent going anywhere till they get it.

All their big guys including AV are all basically crying and totally defeated after every game...**** these guys and their excuses and their lack of respect for their opponent. Beat at home in front of their fans 60-0! i want there to only be Kings fans left in that building by the time the 3rd period ends tomorrow.

Unfortunately, it's been this way ever since Messier dried up his tears long enough to promise the Rangers wouldn't pack it in and would win game 6 in 1994 (unlike this year's squad seems to be doing).

MSG and all of its numerous talking heads have extremely long memories. Turn on MSG on any given day, in any given year, and you'll still see about 6 or 7 reruns of The Spring of 1994 (Did you know that was the last time any Cup ever was handed out?)

Please warn your kids, future grandchildren and make note in your will for generations to come that they'll be hearing about Puck Luck and the goal that should have never been (!!) until the end of time.

Good luck!

You are right and it is a big part of why the majority of them are so completely insufferable too.

I have been an ass throughout this series (longer but in particular) but the Rags fanbase is my absolute least favorite as a whole in the entirety of sports and some of it has to do with all of the "Greatest Arena on Earth" type comments that the media was spewing last night about the MSG. Everything ever that ever happens to or in NYC is "THE GREATEST IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND AND INVENTED IN NEW YORK" nonsense.

They fans actually believe that crap (not all but the vocal majority) and that attitude makes them a joke in large. Watching them shuffle out excuse after excuse for everything that they lose is never enough to provide any true insight and also never enough to show them how wrong they are typically.

It's the clock or puck luck or any other excuse that they can come up with is what I knew I would hear from them today. What do we have to say? Brown said "we haven't won anything yet" and "The fourth game is the hardest to win".

We approach this from the we have to play our best attitude. We always do and it is a big part of the reason why we are the team that we are and why we are closing in on what would be our 2nd cup in 3 years.

They call L.A. "tinsel town" but which place is rooted more deeply in reality?

Easy answer.

Rangers fan here. For me, you guys have been significantly better. I don't want to make any excuses about puck luck or any dumb clockgate thing. The Kings have been the superior team, no excuses whatsoever. Simple as that. You guys have been better.

And here is my opinion on the King goal back in Game 2. I know some think that the goal shouldn't have counted and what not. In my book, the score is 4-3 there. A game can be won 4-3. Championship teams win through adversity. Whether that was a bad call, everyone has different opinions about it. It's a tough one. But I don't want to blame it on the refs or whatever. A championship team would have overcome that, and we didn't, and now we're in a huge 3-0 hole.

As much as I hate to say it, the Kings have been the better team.

I agree 100%. I mean, I loathed Vancouver fans, but OMG the Rag fans take the cake. There is no comparison. They act like their team is the only one on the ice, period. I get super pissed when people don't give the Kings ANY credit. It's all the magical puck luck, bounces, refs, et cetera/ad nauseum. If the Rags win, it's "The King," if they lose, it was the team.

It's the equivalent of.

Someone needs to remind them they have one King. We have 25 of them.

I give you props. Rangers still suck, but you're cool in my book ;)

Very funny!

Thank you for my future avatar too.

Yeah I can't recall Brodeur ever saying anything like that. :naughty:

There's plenty of us calling "luck" a bs excuse. We're certainly not the first team to have fans calling the Kings lucky, it just means the Kings are very good. Every fan base has people who make the same excuses. I wouldn't take that kind of stuff too seriously.

It's just harder to admit, especially through the barrier of the internet, that the other team was simply better than yours.

I thought both teams did a good job of creating turnovers, the Rangers simply couldn't capitalize. NOT to take anything away from Quick, I think he's outplayed Hank in this series.

Anyway, sorry to keep butting in, haha.

Jesus, is this guy for real?

Tuesday: Rangers coach on team’s lack of energy

Q. You have been upbeat throughout this series. What is the psyche
of this group right now?

VIGNEAULT: We’re down 3-0. We’re all lacking sleep. This is
tough.

I didn’t expect my players today to be cheery and upbeat. We’re in
the Stanley Cup Final and we’re down 3-0. You don’t get a lot of these
opportunities.

Excuse us if today we’re not real cheery. But tomorrow I can tell
you we’re going to show up.
