I thought the first 15 minutes were pretty bad, but even after that they seemed to adjust a bit. Hopefully, a day of practice and some rest will only help.

Shots were 43-27 Kings, and outside of two breakaways, New York struggled quite a bit to generate offense. Might want to rethink that narrative.

That might have been Mitchell's best game of the playoffs. Pretty solid and good positionally and wasn't gettng beat. Even had a few wicked shots that gave Henrik
a bit of trouble.

The Kings out-shot the Rangers 23-5 with Willie Mitchell on the ice at evens.

I'll take Mitchell in the playoffs any day. 2014 Norstrom AFAIC.

First of all, it was nice to finally see Quick have a great game. He made some brilliant saves, which is why we won game 1. If he is solid like this the rest of the way, I really like our chances. The Rangers play a pretty solid team defense, keeping us on the perimeter. We may have worn them down come the third period, but most of the shots were putty in Hank's hands. We need to take the puck to the middle (see Doughty goal) and the Toffoli/Kopitar chances and get more traffic in front of their net. We played most of the game outside the dots. Quite frankly Muzzin, Doughty and Voynov all had some pretty bad blunders this game. The D needs to be better. Mitchell, Greene and Martinez were pretty solid. A last but not least, glad we won the game, but our PP totally sucked. I mean just terrible. On to game two. Need to hold home serve.

Rangers did not get a shot on goal with Kopitar on the ice. It's been a struggle offensively, but he's still getting it done where he can
