inb4 Oilers win 3-2 in OT after outshooting Panthers 51-14.The better goalie has won every game this series. Only chance Florida has in game 7 is if Bob gets his head out of his ass.
Funnily enough the Oilers brought in one of the best sports psychologists over the summer.Florida has to bring in a sports psychologist or some meditation guru before game 7 at this point I think.
The overhead view was pretty conclusive. It was way too close to declare an overturn. You don't call that BS in game 6 of the Final. Should have been 2-1 one minute into the 2nd with Florida getting some momentum.
You have a 5050 chance of the goal being allowed vs a 3% chance that Florida converts on the ppHe basically said if you gave him 1,000 chances to challenge that if that was an Edmonton goal against Florida that 1,000 out of 1,000 he doesn’t challenge
I wouldn’t be surprised if the rule gets amended in some way down the road where it’s gotta be offside by a certain margin or it won’t be called backThe overhead view was pretty conclusive.
Just make the blue line wider thenI wouldn’t be surprised if the rule gets amended in some way down the road where it’s gotta be offside by a certain margin or it won’t be called back
Keep it or remove offsides all together.I'm rooting for Edmonton but hopefully a call like tonight will help get offsides review out of the game.
I've said it a hundred times it's the worst rule in sports. A goal should not be called back for fractions of an inch on a bang bang play like that.
It just kills the momentum of a game, it's not what the rule was meant for. Hockey is too fast for offsides to be one hundred percent correct all the time and that's ok.
Doesn’t change anything.I wouldn’t be surprised if the rule gets amended in some way down the road where it’s gotta be offside by a certain margin or it won’t be called back
Why was it dumb? He was right and the goal was called back. If he was wrong, the Oilers pk goes back in and kills another one.Sort of like Maurice calling out Knoblauch for the idiocy of that challenge. That was really a dumb decision even if it was correct
Agree. People think if it doesn't "feel" like it was outside it shouldn't be offside. They would rather introduce randomness and unfairness into the gameKeep it or remove offsides all together.
To say making the right call hampers the game is just idiotic.
Doesn’t change anything.
I guess if the oilers win we’ll get a *
It's either offside or not, it can not be offside by this or this...I wouldn’t be surprised if the rule gets amended in some way down the road where it’s gotta be offside by a certain margin or it won’t be called back
It's the HF way.Lots of whining here
That’s not what he said at all though lolHe basically said if you gave him 1,000 chances to challenge that if that was an Edmonton goal against Florida that 1,000 out of 1,000 he doesn’t challenge
They can do wonders, Marchand started seeing one around the same time he became a top player for a few seasons and iirc attributed a lot of his success to itFunnily enough the Oilers brought in one of the best sports psychologists over the summer.

“You’re so dumb!! You’re totally right, but still so dumb!!”Sort of like Maurice calling out Knoblauch for the idiocy of that challenge. That was really a dumb decision even if it was correct
You can definitely make a correct decision that isn’t necessarily the right one“You’re so dumb!! You’re totally right, but still so dumb!!”
Well if nothing else I imagine the dude has been earning his paychecks this year. Oilers went from 31st in the league at Thanksgiving to game 7 of the SCF after being down 0-3.They can do wonders, Marchand started seeing one around the same time he became a top player for a few seasons and iirc attributed a lot of his success to it
Seems like all Maurice is a fancy suit that spits out witty remarks to the press. Would rather get a pithy rejoinder in than accept the fact that his team is on the verge of a historic feat, the wrong side of that feat.Sort of like Maurice calling out Knoblauch for the idiocy of that challenge. That was really a dumb decision even if it was correct
I would rather lose in 4 than 7 any day of the weekyouve said some really atupid things in this thread, but im impressed how you top yourself with every post. Well done
