I didn’t really see floridas physicality or forecheck as a factor at all tonightI’d have liked a Canadian team to get a Cup.
That said, there’s offensive dominance, and offensive dominance fed by breakneck physicality.
Cats in 6 until the Oilers show they can stand against that level of mean.
Keep trying. Where was Bouchard?couldn't even count the times I noticed Forsling this game on one hand lmao, how anyone claimed this guy was better than Heiskanen is just comedy
Yes. It’s like pretending that the Oilers don’t deserve to win when McDavid takes over a game. Just a strange position to think that having a great goalie isn’t a good thing.one of my favorite hockey cliches is pretending that the winning goalie isn't actually on the winning team so you can argue that the losers were actually better even though they... lost.
I guess it doesn’t really matter as long as the better team won?Bobrovsky carries Florida's overrated defense so hard lmao
i haven't looked at the box score, does this mean bob had the first goalie hat trick in nhl history or are you maybe exaggerating a bit?1st game was 99% on Bobrovsky insane mode
That’s your flex?couldn't even count the times I noticed Forsling this game on one hand lmao, how anyone claimed this guy was better than Heiskanen is just comedy
according to moneypuck the high danger chances went 18-6 in favor of oilers but I'm sure your methodology is betterExactly. Oilers had some good chances but maybe about 2 or 3 grade A chances at most.
For the record, I agree with you. But you're describing a large chunk of the HFMain posters. Two man team, PP merchent, yada yada.Yes. It’s like pretending that the Oilers don’t deserve to win when McDavid takes over a game. Just a strange position to think that having a great goalie isn’t a good thing.
Forsling didn't impress anyone tonight. There's a reason why there will be zero mention of him anywhere between now and Game 2Keep trying. Where wa Bouchard?
2 GA not that bad tho. At some point you gotta score some goalsNurse-Ceci are the culprits, Skinner played as well as could be expected IMO
What bounces? You mean the blown coverage on the Oilers D on the 2 goals? Like when the 9.25 M pylon watched the puck go past him to the open man all alone 8 ft from the net? Man those darn bounces.Tonight was one of those "Panthers had the lucky bounces" type of game coupled with a hot elite goal for whom they were facing in Bobrovsky. No one expects the Panthers to win three more of these games where they were grossly outshot.
That said it was not just a fluke. Florida won many faceoffs and won many of the small puck battles in both zones. Small little plays like tipping picks just outside their zone to force the Oilers to exit, or tying the Oilers player against the board rather than trying to take the puck away - these small things have cumulative effects for which Florida ultimately benefits.
Kind of like counting the times McDavid and Draisaitl were visible this gameThat’s your flex?
How many did McDrai score? Please update us all. Thanks.Forsling didn't impress anyone tonight. There's a reason why there will be zero mention of him anywhere between now and Game 2
bumstav goonsling got overpaid tooForsling didn't impress anyone tonight. There's a reason why there will be zero mention of him anywhere between now and Game 2
Nurse is the worst. What bounces? You mean the blown coverage on the Oilers D on the 2 goals? Like when the 9.25 M pylon watched the puck go past him to the open man all alone 8 ft from the net? Man those darn bounces.
They’ve been brutal all playoffs. Nurse is around minus 17 this playoffs. That’s historically bad.Would love to hear Knob’s reasoning for the Nurse - Ceci pairing. Nurse needs a dman that can move the puck and was fine with Kulak. If it ain’t broke why change it. Nurse and Ceci have been a bad pairing all season and share one brain between each other and can’t baby sit each other.
