Period proves just how ridiculous this series has been. Rangers getting outplayed severely and have the lead.

That said, the officiating once again is a friggin' gong show. There was a sequence in the Rangers' end where LA got away with at least five penalties with nothing called.

Also, the delay of game call probably was, but it was no clearer than the one in Game #2 in LA. Same officiating crew too.

Really makes you wonder.

Faceoff's were awful. LA controlled more ice. Rangers scored a PP goal (a plus). Stralman saved the Rangers from a goal against.

The goalies were a non factor in the 1st. The Rangers forwards were back checking so I saw a somewhat better result. The rangers need to pickup their game, a touch, if they wish to stamp their ticket back to LA.

It wasn't a PP goal, it just ended before the puck went it.

Hes been quoted as willing to take less $$$ for term to stay in NY. They need to do what they can to keep him.

Richards buyout + cap going up. Shouldn't be a problem, it comes down to whether or not they want to spend a large amount on Anton Stralman, or spread the money out elsewhere. Most likely up the middle.

Even 4,5 would be too steep for the Rangers. Extension talks broke down early this spring. I don't see him coming back unless one of Brass, Staal or Zucc are dealt.

If ur just now starting to wonder about refs in the nhl I think u need to get ur eyes checked...
Nhl refs are worse than the nfl's replacement refs' replacement refs... Ya it's that bad

They're one of the best faceoff teams in the league and we are in the bottom third. It's really not that surprising.

The difference between the top faceoff teams and bottom faceoff teams is not that large in the first place and over the span of one single period the variance is enormous. What you said is still true though.

Doesn't get any luckier than this? Stralman made a fantastic play on Carters(?) stick and cleared the puck. How was that lucky? **** you Milbury.

That it was a poor period compared to some others the Rangers have played this series.

Very unsustainable hockey, and sustainability it my jam.

No, what I'm wondering about is if this series is being tilted on purpose.

There are media people on the SiriusXM hockey channel that are freely admitting that they're rooting for the Kings and they aren't disguising any biases whatsoever.

Id move out Staal and his contract. Re-sign Lawman, dump Dorsett and maybe Pouliot. Richards buyout. Stralman is the anchor of that 2nd pair, not Staal. Staal could bring help up the middle in a trade.

Where??? I haven't seen that anywhere

Cannot remember where i read it, but i do remember that he said he was looking for a long term deal.
Believe this was a little while before it came out that NYR had offered him 3x3 wich he had rejected

Yea it was, hell if I know where to find it now, but thats when he said that. To me its a no brainer in you do what you can to keep him. He has been fantastic for us. To think he was cut from the Devils in the pre-season 2 years ago :laugh:
