“@stevezipay: Game 3 refs are Steve Kozari (#40) and Brad Watson (#23). Linesmen: Scott Driscoll (#68) and Shane Heyer (#55). Worked game 1â€

“@stevezipay: From NHL: Home teams are 25-9 (.735) in the Final dating to 2009.”

Been to any playoff games this year?

Yes, I have season tickets.

You can preach all you want, you're not going to convince me the Garden is a remotely scary place to play anymore compared to most other arenas, specifically with LA just beating Chicago, which is arguably the loudest in the NHL.

The Garden has been fine for a few of the playoff games this year. But acting like players should be scared to come in here? Sorry, that's living off of nothing more then legacy.

Obviously splitting the 1st two games would have been huge but they way this team plays against LA and the fact that the Rangers have been 2 OTs away from leading the series 2-0 i have to believe we will win tonight. Win tonight and this series is ripe for the taking.

Just ****ing win!!!

No one ever said anyone was scared. I posted a fact that Quick has never played a game here. It's a factor. Most of which has nothing to do with crowd noise, but ice conditions, lighting, how the puck plays off/against the boards and ice, specific sightlines goaltenders use, in-arena distractions (some that you see & hear)

Also, the overall 'stage' of being and playing at MSG. Players either rise to the occasion and bring their A game, or the pressure gets to them and affects them mentally.

Great. For his next act, Scott Driscoll is going to choke the **** out of Rick Nash and have him suspended too.

Good. The first game was reffed fantastically.

Openly admitting to enjoying games in which the Rangers lost Jonathan? More like Notarealfanathan.

:sarcasm:

Yeah, I don't really get how some people can't enjoy the games even if we lose. I will say that last game was horrible as a fan because of the blown call resulting in the loss, but it was still an edge-of-the-seat thriller.

And this is where i severely disagree.

Hundreds of former and current NHL players would disagree with you. Ya know, people who have actually played there.

“This is one of my favorite places to play,†said Kings forward Justin Williams, Mr. Game 7 who won Game 1 with his opportunistic overtime tally.

“This chance to play a Stanley Cup final at MSG, there’s not much else out there for a hockey player. This is what it’s all about.

“Some guys have waited their whole careers for this,†Williams added. “Playing here, being in such an epic building, it’s always fun.â€

What do you expect them to say? That place is a **** hole?

It's the same thing as saying Hank can't play at the Bell. He had a string of awful games there, so everyone acted like he just couldn't play there.

Last time i checked, a sheet of ice is a sheet of ice. If Quick has a bad game tonight, it's because he had a bag game, not because he can't "step up" at MSG.

This guy has won the Stanley Cup, played in the Olympics, had numerous high pressure situations. It's laughable to think he's just going to crumble like an overbaked cookie because he's now in NYC.

My point is, opposing teams know its a special place to play, and either rise up to the occasion because it IS more of a stage than most arenas, or it affects players in a negative way.

Being that Quick has never once played in MSG, it will be new for him in many ways. It's a gross oversimplification to just call it 'a sheet of ice'. Plenty of other factors come into play, especially it being Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final, playing in a building that hasn't seen a game of this magnitude in 20 years.

Lets hope our guys are ready to come play tonight and can bring it to them hard.

Agree on your last line, agree to disagree on the rest ;)

Hopefully I'm wrong and he chokes big time!

Yeah that's the thing, judging by rational fan reactions these games have been entertaining. Which means they are close. Which means they are winnable.

I like our chances to win tonight, and I like our chances of going 6 or 7 if we do.

I know what you're saying, but sometimes it's easier to handle a 5-0 blowout, even if you're on the negative end, then it is a tight thriller like these two have been.

I have been sick to my stomach watching these games and while I'd rather us have a chance, my health would probably be significantly better if we just lost or won outright.

3-1 win tonight.

goals from zuke and msl.

mcd with the empty netter.

rick nash will do his best to not fall down and may occasionally look interested.

LGR!!!!!

"According to Nielsen, the Kings’ double-overtime victory in Los Angeles averaged roughly 6.4 million viewers, making it the most-watched Game 2 on record (since at least 1994). The game was up 60% vs. last year’s Game 2 on NBCSN (Bruins-Blackhawks, 4.0 million), and up 121% vs. 2012’s Game 2 on NBC that also featured the Kings (Kings-Devils, 2.9 million)." - Variety

That's a pretty good number (peak was 7.5 million) for the NHL. Wow.

Here it is! Game 3, finally! This is it, I have said it many times during these playoffs, the most important game of the season!

Staying up is still no big issue, although game 2 was tough tbh ... haha xD
It's now plus seven months of hockey for me. My life could use a break in order to reorganize itself (sleep-wise). But after 4 more wins please!!!!
