That's like asking me to pick my favorite child, I can't stop at 3 but a stream of conciousness listing of some top episodes:

Space Mutiny, Mitchell, Time Chasers, Prince of Space, The Final Sacrifice, Boggy Creek II

Manos is the most well known and probably a bit overrated, but it's still hilarious.

Yeah. I kind of gravitate towards the shorts myself just because they were one of the first things that people put online after the show went off the air, and so I watched a a lot of them.

For whomever watches the show:

What are your favorite top 3 episodes of MST3K?

Only 3? Damn that's tough. The Final Sacrifice has a permanent slot atop the list for me because it was the one that cemented my fandom (I saw the movie first). The other 2 rotate depending on what kind of mood I'm in...let's say Pod People & Space Mutiny.

I'm pretty sure Pod People & Space Mutiny were the 2 episodes I'd seen before I finally had the cable channel the show was on. I'm apparently one of about five people whose entry point was the movie.

Does anyone here have adidas nite jogger’s? I feel like someone mentioned them.
I have a pair and also got a pair of Vessi's, because my gf basically forced me to with some new stupid black friday deal going on right now.

Very comfortable and it looks retro, which is my jam.

Outside of chucks and some fashion casual slip-ons, I have been really digging new balance more and more, I wore them in my teens and then revisited them a while back and have been getting them ever since, love their style, it sort of goes with anything casual and looks trendy in that "hipster" kind of way or rather, Dad doing errands kind of way.

I think I am going to pick up a pair, but I have read mixed reviews on sizing. Unfortunately, I can’t try on a pair in-person. Were they half a size smaller than other Adidas in your experience. I am not much of a sneaker guy, but I do have a pair of Adidas matchcourt and alphabounce.

I wear 12 in Nikes/Chucks/New Balance, but Adidas I almost have to go up half a size because they can be narrow but for those, I got 12 and it fit like a normal 12 because of the retro style/fit to them.

Usually though, Adidas are just so damn narrow for me so I have to go up half a size or a full size.

Yeah, same. I have found Adidas to be narrow for me in the back of my foot towards the heel. Kind of weird as I don’t experience that in any other shoe or boot. Thanks for the help. I guess that I could just order two sizes and return one.

Yeah you can always go that route, I have a collapsed arch so for me to fit an adidas on the first try with my proper size was a shock to me as well. Very comfortable shoe though, it felt as comfortable as my air90's but with more of a softer sole.

Has anyone here switched from XFinity to Fios in the past and have an opinion for how much of a pain in the ass it is to do that? I saw Verizon is offering 1 GB/s internet speeds with basically $175 cash back (Disney+ and a $100 visa card, which turns into basically $175 back for me) for $65 a month, while I'm paying $50 a month right now with XFinity for 300 MB/s.

The new apartment I'm likely moving to in the middle of next year made a point that it offered Fios, and when I looked, my current apartment also offers Fios. I was debating switching, but if it would be a massive hassle, I'd just pass on it.

It's that time of year where we do self-reviews at work. I was about to be furious at what my historic rating is at the company (I also don't think I was supposed to see it), but it turns out they rank us on a 1-3 scale. Meaning my near 2.0 is way better than I thought it was. If it were out of 10 or 5 I would've been livid.

I loved the book. I haven't had a chance to read book 2 yet but it was funny and it had my attention all the way through. Usually these fantasy types for dudes end up being kind of boring at some points but I thought it did a good job of keeping me interested all the way through. I won't spoil it for anyone but they should definitely read it if they like LOTR and GOT type stuff. With thievery.

Glad to hear it, for me it's the fusing of the fantastical setting, the intricacy of the plots, and the straight up hilarity of the characters that makes it a darn near perfect book. Red Seas and Republic of Thieves are perhaps a step back from Lies, but that doesn't mean they are bad. They just aren't as perfect.

Plus Jean Tannen is gotdamn awesome.

I finally booked my next journey and it's not somewhere I ever expected to be able to visit. Somehow this became the most affordable of my options.

Spoiler: I'll get to see penguins and boobies in the wild.

I haven't read the rest in the series, but it's been a while since I read the 1st and need to re-read it before I read the next ones on my days off to relax.

@EightyOne

you still roller hockey?
I played probably 20 years of good as hell pick up games with townies and friends. off and on in league play when I had money to upkeep the skates / wheels / bearings / sticks.

I played hockey mostly in the wooden stick era before the 100 200 300 dollar carbon fiber (is that what they are made of?) came out. Couldn't afford that shit at that age.

I have all my ice hockey pads and shit that all fits still.

Soon as I went to the military in 09 I met one guy there who played and they had an outdoor roller rink at NAS Dahlgren, but the jet engines kind of were distracting. I lived in DC (when I wasn't in San Antonio / Chicago / Honduras) and the drive to Dahlgren was a good hour +.

After the military I haven't played one f***ing game of hockey and it hurts my soul. Everyone moved on / changed numbers / moved away / died. Biggest death was our goalie. High on pills and alcohol fell asleep driving and crashed into a wall and his vehicle caught fire as he slept.

I have like two or three indoor rinks and two outdoor within 45 miles.

Have skates, wheels, bearings etc. Played like 96-2003.

I don't play really. After I started ice in 2006, the feeling of roller was just awful. The wheels just grip and work in a way I don't like.

I can still play it but far and away prefer not to...

Haven't gotten back into ice because my work schedule conflicts with every league within 60+ miles

I played roller from about 92-2010 mostly because my neighbor's dad was such a huge Pens fan that he built a concrete roller rink out back complete with a big Pens logo at "center ice." Also there was a city-funded roller rink only about ten minutes away and people always down there playing pickup and/or Summer leagues.

I always enjoyed ice more but getting time and finding enough people around here to chip in and also play was always such a hassle. Only one viable rink anywhere near here, anyway. Haven't gotten to play in a while just because life got in everyone's way. Very often miss it.

Work, f***ing things up.
Ice is the best by far. I just hate the cold and they keep those rinks on the blitzkrieg setting. So its the only reason I like roller, but then roller gets too hot. Can't win man.

Lol indeed. Nothing like a 107 degree day on a warehouse roller rink without AC.

Ice is cold? Shit man, I've never played without being drenched in sweat. Lol. My pads would have steam rising for fifteen minutes lol.

But I work hard. I look more like Kessel than Geno so it takes some exertion lol...in fact, I'm very familiar with Phil's trademark hang on the bench gasping for air look lol

This wasn't directed to me, but I play roller hockey in the summer. There is an outdoor rink with no covering, so if it rains the games get cancelled. And the surface is like 10 degrees hotter than ambient temp..it's quite the cooker

In the Fall/Winter I play ice and I also prefer it to roller....I'm never too cold :)
