Wild win 4-1. Minnesota now has the second best record in the West. Under Yeo our midwinter collapse would have started a week or two ago, so far so good.

i'm at the game so hard to say, but the Wild could have scored like a dozen. if it weren't for bad puck luck.
That Yotes team is horrible.

Has anyone else noticed that Columbus has played the least amount of games in the league? If they manage to win the games in hand they could be 1st as far as record goes.

Niemi has around ~.940 SV% at home. In general Stars netminding has been good at 5on5 but left hanging ALOT on Special teams.

This game didn't involve much special teams so no chance to leave the goalie out to dry.

Flyers pushed hard for the tie. That was a really good game especially with beer.

Just one of those games.

Provorov hit iron twice... first one was underside of crossbar. But Niemi had actually kind of overplayed it so instead of hitting him in the back and potentially going in it came back through crease!
Niemi made some great saves.
Refs were bad.

Pretty even game really, could have gone either way. They won ~3-4 or so games during the streak playing worse than that!

CBJ is proof you can come out of trading offense for D and succeed. Oh, along with Edmonton. Torontooooo? JVR isn't going to get it done.

Never knew that.

From what I've heard, you'd think Dallas netminding was basically early 90s Detroit Cheveldae.

I'm curious to know what their 5-on-5 vs. special teams goaltending stats were and how they did last year and this year.

Between the pipes and the missed open nets the Wild could've scored 10 today. They just keep getting better little by little, and their depth is looking great this season.

Just making sure....you realize I was being sarcastic, right?

I agree with you. The scoring chances for the Wild were crazy today.

Niemi has a .9357 SV% at 5on5 , .850 while the team is on the PP , .8642 while the team in on the PK

Lehtonen has .9225 at 5on5 , .8333 while on the PP , .8088 while on the PK .

The 5on5 numbers are upper middle of the pack ( like ~10-15 ) while the Special teams numbers are at around 30-40 .

i wasn't responding to anyone. Just a general observation! It's nice to decisively out play a bad team for once.
