The perfect example is Dale Mitchell. He played for Windsor in the OHL. Has 2 memorial cup rings. Played pro for a number of years. Is now coaching Leamington Flyers JRb. Finished 1st last year and in 1st this year. He will very likely have an OHL team or another league take a serious look at him. He is gaining experience and getting ready to move to the next level. He is doing it the right way. Be safe.
100% correct! And letang’s son is 23, played 4th line junior C, has never coached any level of hockey including minor hockey. And his dad got him a job with the sting as a video coach/assistant coach, he was even on the bench for a few games. That is absolutely embarrassing and bush league management. I really hope Legwand takes over now that his son is done playing little Caesar’s AAA, so hopefully he jumps back on the stings bench, if I remember correctly Legwand did a good job running the forwards and powerplay, but was limited to what he could do due to dumbo Hatcher as head coach, and Legwand probably became a better coach as head coach of little Caesar’s and developing players in that great organization. If not definitely take a look at Dale Mitchell and his buddies in leamington, I threw that idea out earlier this season.

Wanna expand a touch on one of the things I mentioned last night

Letang's answer to what's going wrong last night started by saying "I don't know, maybe we aren't built for" & then he stopped himself & said we just couldn't sustain it. So it sounds like he was gonna say we aren't built for playing a super physical, grinding style that he wants. How many times in his time here has he said post game "we don't have that elite talent like ___ we need to outwork them"..

Since he's arrived that's always been what he's wanted. An aggressive, hard forechecking, grinding, hard working team. Seca seemed to be on board with that for a little, but his recent picks seem to say he isn't.

Brown, Sim, Barr, Bridgewater, Beamish, Di Iorio, Gaughan, Edwards, Chamberlain, Kapageridis, Karimov Doherty, Campbell, Omeri & even Fischer (Kostuch too) wanna play up tempo hockey leaning offensive minded. They don't wanna be grinders who play dump & chase & grind down the other team with physicality. For one those guys aren't that big. They physically cant handle it or do it all the time or when facing bigger teams.

They are being forced to be & play a style that isn't what they are best at. I'm not saying they should be a solely offensive minded team because you do need that grit, grinding style on your team, but we watched up close how LDN played 2 years ago. They didn't cycle you to death & play a boring style. It was aggressive, fast, skilled hockey with great structure & commitment to defence.

I cant imagine Seca & his scouts are watching how certain guys are deployed & not thinking we drafted these guys to be offensive minded. IE Bridgewater being on a PP. Karimov being a T6 F. Brown being more productive. Barr who did well last yr when running a PP. Kostuch being a good goal scorer before his injury. Heck even guys like Wainwright & Doucette im sure internally they expected more goals & points from.

Outside Brown who has stuck T6 all yr really, those other guys have been shafted most of the season. Bridgewater & Barr haven't sniffed PP time or OT shifts. Karimov as we've talked about has been mishandled badly. Kostuch was stuck B6 for 20 games. Even Brown if you recall wasn't getting much of any PP time or OT shifts the first half either.

Long story short, to me there seems to be a disconnect with the style Letang always preaches about & who Seca has been drafting & it's lead to a lot of the issues we've seen this yr, These kids try but they don't wanna play this kind of hockey every night.
Bingo.. this is why Letang or Seca needs to go... Even when Seca gave Letang the best roster, on paper, Letang didn't adjust his coaching style to the players he was given. Letang seems very hard headed and difficult to work with... but thats just my opinion and im not there.

Ya definitely but like if he developed these talented young players into point producers he would be more successful than trying to make them grinders, he had Way play top minutes last year there is your grinder go win a championship. Skill and speed is the new way to win, it’s not 2015 or earlier where teams were big and hit everything in site playing a heavy game, ya windsor is huge but they also have elite talent in those big guys. Letang says he doesn’t have elite talent, then how about you develope these kids that have real good skills. Not develope them in to bottom 6 grinders. He has ruined a lot of careers over the last couple of seasons doing that and not giving our imports chances because they aren’t grinders, no shit they aren’t grinders most Europeans aren’t and they have skill … use it. If Seca doesn’t get a new staff that develops players I won’t be spending money, Letang and Jeffrey’s are just going to ruin more promising careers and put shit product on the ice even though they have the talent. I won’t watch him do that to karimov, di Iorio, edwards, Bridgewater. He’s already made his impact on karimov, brown and Barr. And others in the past few seasons. It’s not fair to the players careers or the fans, down right criminal really, and then he gets his under qualified kid a job, seems like he does whatever he wants and gets away with it. Not supporting that bush league shit.

Interesting... I tool a quick look at WSR's coaching staff and noticed Kris Newbury.. Walters was an assistant coach when Newbury played in Sarnia during the infamous Hazing scandal which Newbury, I believe, was named in. I don't know if Walters was ever named in it but the coach, Jeff Perry was too. Hopefully they learned from those past mistakes.

Sounds like a Letang Excuse. "We don't have.... "vets have to be better" "details". I'm sorry done with this guy he is wrong coach for this type of team and organization period. Tried it he just isn't a coach to get most out of his players. Doesn't have that pressence to demand it.
Playing guys all year in spots they arenr ready for eg the16 year olds. I get it they have promising futures but still have to learn to play with others. Focus on D is all about Fischer and making him an offensive player. Just isnt his strong suit.
But that again isnt Fischer's fault he is doing his beat just being asked to much. That's all coaching wrong guys in wrong spots best for team to succeed.
2 16 year olds on PP in key spots again isnt about this team now it's about next few years. Fine I get that too but don't call out vets when team gets outcoached that's not cool. Own it Letang and be better. Period but there is no cure for arrogance.

Been a few family day games where ive gone in expecting an ugly loss, but gotta say haven't been many I don't even wanna attend like tomorrow. Misa, Parekh & Chernyshov might get 6 points apiece if we play like we have been lately.

First time Glavin & Franceschetti play since JJ jumped him. Wonder if there is any response there. Not that it would matter anyway. We could get a 20 minute PP & im not convinced we'd score more than 1or2 times at most.

Beamish' injury is gonna be devastating for this team. Elite on draws. Good in own end + PK. Was near point per game. Puts even more on Edwards & Di Iorio's plate as 16 year olds.

My guess, 8-2 Spirit.

Misa is on fire. He's stepped up and is showing why he was an exceptional talent player.

Hockey Canada should be absolutely embarrassed and the management needs to be fired immediately after leaving misa, parehk and others off that roster.
Hockey Canada as a whole, at every level, is being given a piece of humble pie...Canada could very well still win the 4 nations but sheesh they left some good players at home, especially the caps goalie.

All three of the goalies should not be there. Should be Thompson, kuemper and Blackwood. I do see why they brought Bennett to counter the physicality of the Tkachuks. I would definitely have Harley in the lineup when makar comes back. He looked good lastnight.

Even Bennett's spot should've gone to Tom Wilson. Who's bigger, faster and having a better year than Bennett.

Ppl who run hockey Canada are a joke. Been a disasterclass 6 months from that crew.

Should of brought both, put them on the same line, Bennett laid a couple big hits lastnight, could of brought nurse for toughness on the back end.

Need Surzycia to stand on head be way better than of late. Fischer needs to actually show up been 3rd best D most games lately. We need Hurt and Obrien playing tough minutes and some good lines.
My prediction Wainwright to 1st line C doucette with Di iorio and manza
Edward's Karimov simpson
Hall and moses
7 D

Unless Sinpsom jumps to 2nd line with Wainwright and Di iorio and doucette to 1st with brown and filak. Edwards 3rd line C

I'm sure Letang will shock us and Do something off board like moses line 1 and hall line 2 lol

Surprised Maillet is starting. Wouldn't give him starts then gives him @ Windsor & vs red hot Saginaw.. lol.

I don't hate Simpson L3, but Moses L2 while Manza gets buried on L4 is ridiculous. I guess Letang wants him to bail too.

Manza putting up too many points for Letang so he puts him on line 4 to learn how to be a grinder. Hes gone to Ohio next year and I don’t blame him, Letang is a f***ing joke, I’d almost rather his son run the bench at this point. Seca better get rid of this guy before it’s too late to develope these 16/17 year olds.

That team today just quit in front of their own fans.

Every vet player should've been benched. Every damn night a rookie is our best player. Simpson showing the most heart. Edwards another goal. Di Iorio another assist.

Manza had 5 shifts today. He's been one of their most productive guys since signing & this is how he's treated. Playing behind Moses & on a line with Hall & Chamberlain.

I'm tired of it. Simply tired of it.

I really believe this team is gonna miss the playoffs & everyone should be fired. Everyone.

I think everyone should start making comments on the sting Facebook/instagram/twitter posts saying fire Letang. Or even send the sting messages. Hate to do that to someone but it’s the only way the sting will address this, they have gave him plenty of chances with good teams and bad, he doesn’t change or improve he sticks to his ways that don’t work, makes dumb decisions with lineups and in game choices, and simply is brutal at developing players. Get rid of him now.

This team and organization really sucks ... from top to bottom.... players, coaches, front office to ownership. They're better off missing the playoffs tbh because they seem to have given up, for a second time this year. Getting beat 10-0 by LDN in 4 games does no good.
