Typical letang bad game management.
Yah it's tough. Especially with such an undermanned group they probably felt that was a massive moment in the game to get a big goal. I don't hate the decision as like us, I bet Letang thought if they didn't score there the odds it was tied late weren't great.

When it rains it pours so naturally it was tied, they got hemmed in & they iced it with no C on the ice. Perfect recipe for a goal off the draw. Even more painful is Barr actually could've grabbed it but it bounced right off his skate to Doherty. Been quite the rut of sh*t luck. Hopefully we are due for a nice string of good health & good luck after this trip & into the 2nd half.

Don't think it was letang making call.on the pp was jeffery.
But 5 on 3 with the worst pp in league and missing top 4 players wasn't good game management. Also having guys out last minute was the mistake as well. Guess shoot our selves in foot again and give pts away I count 7 pts they have pissed Way with this type of management.
Think barr is falling in my depth chart for reliability back there sad to say rather have bridgewater and omeri out at that last minute too. Regroup and get ready for a tough battle in erie. Still heart broken with that result last night boys deserved better for their effort.

Karimov is playing. But ahh. Letang changed the lines & they are something lol.

Brown-Filak-Doucette
Simpson-Kostuch-Johnston
Franceschetti-Gaughan-Moses
Sim-Karimov...........

Same D pairs. Maillet starts.

They just played a great game... Why in the hell would u change all the lines? Then Karimov back to L4????? When he's been really good as of late? For Simpson of all players???

Baffling isn’t it. Though I’m sure, as typically happens, these lines will only stay as they are for a few shifts then completely change, yet again.

Team surprised the heck out of me vs NIA, but I remain very low on confidence @ Erie tonight. I like this Otters team a lot. Bunch of really good established talent & I'm not sure there will be a bigger mismatch down the middle in an OHL game this yr then Fimis/Misiak/Terrance vs Filak/Kostuch/Gaughan.

If Karimov really cant travel over there it's just another guy to add to the scratches that grow game by game. It's truly beyond ridiculous at this point.

Brightside? Last game without Di Iorio & Edwards. Bodin hopefully is back next weekend. Fischer should be getting close (probably 2-3 more weeks depending on how he's healing).. Only 2 games left after tonight on this road trip & they haven't really fallen in the standings as SSM has lost a few in a row, SAG been losing & FLT been losing.
Misiak is out for Erie tonight.

All you can ask for right now is a good effort & they are putting that in despite being so shorthanded. Erie is a much bigger, older team & even with a full squad we'd be in tough let alone with the current roster.

Maillet is having his best OHL game. He's been unbelievable. So that's great to see. Actually liking Simpson & Gaughan tonight, too. Obviously look over matched at times but they are hanging in there. Brown been good too.

Solid effort. Just don't got the horses. Maillet was unreal. 41/45. Team had their looks in the 3rd to get within 2 but their goalie was really solid. Finally get some reinforcements as 17/81 return next game. Hopefully Bodin, too. Wainwright the game after.

Then mercifully this trip from hell is finally over & this team can get back on track.

Huge congrats to the rooks!!

Edwards & team White take home gold!
Di Iorio & team red take home silver!

Both played big roles on the teams, especially Di Iorio.

Button/Tsn did a mini segment on them & said some nice things. Love to see it especially in Sarnia.

Two special talents we are lucky to have.

Letang better be careful with Karimov. This is a good player. With a lot of upside. Only 17 & signed for 3 seasons. He's a massive part of this team becoming what we hope is one competing for a championship, maybe next year, but definitely the year after.

I understand taking it slow with him. He has a lot of bad habits. He still has some of those bad habits. He's prone to bad turnovers. He holds onto it to long. Chases in the DZone a bit too much at times. Gotta use his teammates more.

But let's be real he's definitely been more dangerous than Brown & Kostuch on a night to night basis. Tied with them in points despite playing significantly less than both, especially Brown & it ain't like those 2 don't make mistakes/have bad turnovers themselves. Does he demote them? No. As he shouldn't, why? They are all 17!!! They are gonna make mistakes, but funny enough, Karimov is 2nd on the team & one of only 2 Fs to be + on the season!! Behind only Wainwright!!!! Also be one thing if he was lazy. He isn't! He always works his ass off.

It's his draft year. He's come from across the world. There is ZERO reason for that kid to of been on the 4th line tonight. ZERO. Let alone for Simpson who was playing Jr B last weekend. I can't wrap my head around it. At all. It genuinely pisses me off.

It'll be Christmas break soon & I imagine Karimov will go home for it if he can & Letang better get his head out of his you know what by then. Because if he doesn't it wouldn't surprise anyone if he said you know what I don't wanna come back. You aren't playing me & i'm not being seen in the biggest year of my life.

Maybe Ruslan is taking it in stride, loves it here & has 0 plans of such a thing & I hope he is, but who would blame him if he wasn't. Letang better not cost us this player & his upside & i'm getting legitimately worried he just might. Especially when they get back to 100% health. If he won't play him T9 let alone T6 right now will he when Wainwright, Di Iorio, Edwards, Hall, Chamberlain are all back + Franceschetti who wasn't here when they were healthier?

Apologies for the rant, but this is utter nonsense from Letang, someone I've defended quite a lot. If Ruslan's agent says ANYTHING to Seca he better have Alan on speed dial to wake the F up.

Sounds familiar to me I've said this exact same thing few times in Oct and last year. The kukumberg factor with letang. Seen him do it to Wainwright last year it pissed me off him on 4th line and 3rd line to play other players with way less upside and skill, did to kukumberg and he left. If wouldn't blame karimov if they say well stay in russia when come home, play in top league there and he will get drafted. Really liked karimov wainwright and Brown when they played in oshawa and mississauga seemed to both get sparked. But as I see it letang will give Di Iorio and Edward's all the opportunities when they come back and Letang's arrogance as I've said over years will continually hurt this team. Another thing would be Wainwright jumping next year to go NCAA clearly a super high candidate. Over years he has been treated like Karimov in his draft year no chance on pp and again this year second fiddle to 16 year olds (would sour me if I was Wainwright clearly teams top player) so with that being said Letang better wake up to who he has on his team and treat them they way he would like to be played in his draft year. After all that is why Karimov came over to play on biggest stage Di Iorio and Edward's have time alot of time and alot to learn. With new rules to NCAA could affect alot of teams development practices because a kid could leave anytime if dont like how things go. LETANG'S arrogance could push kids away on how he treats them in their biggest years of their lives.
I hope karimov plays a bigger role with team before christmas.

Can someone please tell me why. A guy like Wainwright who doesn't have a history of suspensions. Who gets a 3 game suspension for something that arguably shouldn't of even been a penalty. But a guy like Boulton in LDN who has a long history of suspensions only gets 2 games for a head shot. Make 0 sense to me.

Because OHL. That's about it.

There's probably been 5or6 head check suspensions this yr & all except 1 have been 2 games.

Martone had a really dirty check from behind this weekend & he got 1 game...

Yet Wainwright got 3 games. It makes 0 sense.

Wainwright likely got a longer suspension because Leonard's injury is long-term

Yeah if I’m karimov and still playing 4th line minutes come Christmas time I certainly wouldn’t blame him if he opts to stay at home and go back to the MHL. Gross mismanagement of a key asset for the team so far. Yes he makes mistakes … so do some very key players on this team yet the rest of them are plenty of ice time.

Still think someone gets traded before christmas DS loves to make move around end Nov/Dec and then at deadline. Remember we have Hall coming back soon! Makes us log jammed with bottom 6 Karimov will need to play top.6 minutes to keep him. He will be reevaluating his decision on his christmas break at home, we all can bet on that!

Leonard put himself in that position he also came down to hit wainwright rather than go to puck. Stronger player won the battle and can punish a player for that, well in this case they did. Comparing martone's hit to Wainwrights, wainwrights was clean yet gets 3 games(joke) and martone gets 1 game with a blatant hit from behind and his record and Wainwrights record you would think it would be other way around. Just sad all around for wainwright getting the shaft here and sting Organization seems to be ok with it all not much fight from them obviously that's bigger travesty.

It would be nice but they don't really have many. Naturally Seca has gone the safer approach of targeting guys who wanted to play OHL unlike Sinclair who loved to taking swings on Americans.

Up until this news I loved it haha. Because we got burned way to much by wasting picks on guys who wouldn't come.

All we have now is Liam Beamish (BCHL), Nicholas Kosiba (USHL), Chase Jette (USHL), Nicholas Bogas (USHL only 16).

Got some guys uncommitted in Patrick Quinlan & Easton Walos (only 16).

Kosiba makes the most sense right now. Playing 4th line in USHL. Skilled winger. Surely he'd like more ice time in his draft yr. Next yr Quinlan is someone I'm really keeping an eye on. We'll have an empty G spot. Would he rather play minimal games or be a work horse for us (obviously if he's better than Maillet)

Was starting to think we werent allowed this, but finally some good news! Bodin, Di Iorio, Edwards all back Friday in London. Obviously Wainwright back Saturday in Saginaw after serving his final game Friday.

Fischer is day to day & expected back next weekend! Chamberlain, Luecke, Hall remain week to week.

Great stuff to hear especially with Fischer. To say this team misses their captain would be an understatement. LDN is absolutely humming so not expecting much Friday, but be nice to find a way to split SAG/KIT although it'll be tough as both are good, especially KIT at the end of a 3-in-3.

It was shoulder related I believe but not sure what exactly. He had shoulder issues last season too.

He's not a producer but I do think they've missed him a little bit. Good size, good PKer, physical & good down low
I think he was going to be a trade candidate before injury
