I think he was going to be a trade candidate before injury
I imagine he was being shopped for sure. Just like Chartier & Omeri.

Omeri has had a decent couple weeks here with Fischer out sorta hoping it's boosted his value. He's definitely an OHL level D.

One guy I could see on the trade block. If his play doesn't pick up by the end of the month is Brown. I know a lot of people probably don't want to hear that. But he has been disappointing up to this point with only 3g and 8pts through 20 games. I'm not saying we should move him at least not now. But if he doesn't pick it up by the end of the month I think the team needs to have the conversation about maybe moving him.

He just turned 17. There's 0 chance they'd move him. 0.

Brown really came alive playing with Wainwright and karimov, didn't put up alot of points but was alive and really into play. Think he gets back to last years form playing with wainwright. Think The speed of wainwright was helping Brown push his game. I think there is zero chance he gets moved. He will be big part of future

Unfortunate. They banked on him growing & he would've been a solid player, but unlike his brother he didn't.

Just lacked the size and strength to hang at this level. QMJHL will be a better league for him. Hope he does well.

With 12/17/81 coming back (12 on Saturday) I'm hoping to see some new lines.. They can honestly mix & match the entire top-9 & I wont be to upset, but I do hope to see Wainwright & Brown together. That's who Brown plays his best with. Would love to see Karimov with them again, but not holding my breath with Letang.

A 4th line with Franceschetti & Moses actually excites me, too. They could be a real crash & bang line that'll be fun to watch & get the other team a bit off their game. If they could form that kind of identity on line 4 that would be awesome. Hall would fit nicely between them too once he returns as he's physical too.

Just want Karimov not to be buried on line 4. At the very least the kid's gotta be in the top-9 & on one of the two PP units.

While I'm still unsure about getting any wins this weekend vs 3 good teams (hoping they can squeeze out 1 vs SAG or KIT) I'm pumped to see Di Iorio, Edwards then Wainwright all back. Over anything they are just 3 players that are fun to watch & make the games more enjoyable lol. Special teams especially hopefully gets a nice boost from their returns as well as face offs though Filak & Kostuch did more than an admirable job filling in.

Letang is and has always been a creature of habit to his fault and has tougher time recognizing what combos spark players and that is where he has always lacked.
With di iorio back he will play with his line he had prior to leaving
Di iorio Brown back together they planned this all summer playing together which didn't really help either excell lol
I could be wrong but your top Plus/ minus, goal scorer and points guy, faceoff guy has to be 1st pk and he should be top PP1. That's where we need him to continue to lead team and put up pts.
Little bit of showcase might help us keep him over a prying NCAA recruitment as well. Love to See Brown, Karimov Wainwright together and brown and wainwright PK and then together for pp1.
Think that's where both will really get going together.
Karimov needs to be on that line too.
I get it Di iorio and Edward's are the future but again that is future and with our bug slide it's all about righting the ship and turning page and get back to top half of league.

Get back to hard working blue collar identity like kitchener!

Is the Q that much different? What are the main noticeable differences ?

I am afraid I'll have to disagree, unless you have an explanation backing up your comment
There's a whole laundry list of things ranging from smaller player pool, to costs, to development models, to just being in a rut that will naturally end. None of them have anything to do with weird stereotypes about Francophone Canada.

(Comme tu veux, ça m'y est égal). I am not going to argue, nationality has absolutely nothing to do with how QMJHL players develop their talents. Besides, they draw players from NF, PEI, NB, NS and North Eastern States, and even some from Ontario

Then why in the world did you say that they play with more emotions and less technically? You understand those are things people say to disparage French Canadians as hockey players right? YOU are the one that brought it up. If 80+% of the league is made of Quebecois players, who do you think you are referring to when you say they play with more emotion? And in this case equating emotion with being a bad thing. Its so weird.

Not so my friend, that is just who they are and how they play the game, nothing to do with stereotypes at all. The question was asked was "is the Q that much different". I answered, you had a different opinion, and I asked you to explain your answer. I respectfully disagree again. The subject of nationality came up, and I respectfully disagree again. It is how they developed through years from their region or in their hockey learning environment, not from what is in their blood or minds.

How is Sarnia playing these days?
Not well. Lost 7 of the last 8 games. The team's been very shorthanded lately. Our top d-pairing (Fischer and Bodin) has been out for the large majority of those eight games. Di Iorio and Edwards have been out for the past six games because they were away at the U17s. Wainwright got suspended last weekend and isn't eligible to return until tomorrow. It's been a very frustrating couple of weeks.

Thankfully we're getting back Bodin, Di Iorio, and Edwards for the game tonight. Hoping we can make it a competitive game

Well, heading to my first live game of the year tonight. Only thing that might save this game from being a blow out is the addition of a few guys back into the line up so maybe that gives us a little boost. Agree about Wainwright being the heartbeat of this team. His drive/determination motivates his teammates. Very noticeable difference overall without his presence.

7-2 Knights win and an equal amount of beers consumed to get me through this one!

Franceschetti-Filak-Johnston
Kostuch-Edwards-Doucette
Brown-Di Iorio-Karimov
Gaughan-Moses

Young-Bodin
Hurt-Omeri
Bridgewater-Barr
Andersen

Surzyci

I'm fine with these. 23/17/19 had some nice moments when they were together previously. I like Kostuch & Edwards together.

Not expecting a win that's for sure, but hoping they can keep it close like they have been vs some of the other elite teams.

Well they started well lol. Pretty goal by Filak. Pretty cheap call on Hurt to put them on a PP which they score on, but we also got away with a trip on Bonk late.

Surzycia was unbelievable. 20/21 & many of high quality including 2 breakaways. Team has gotta move there feet. being caught flat footed a ton.

Don't care what the score says they can't be happy with that period. Defence is leaving the middle of the ice wide open, nobody could complete a two-foot pass, and the PP didn't even set up in LDN's zone. Surzycia played one of the best periods I've seen from a Sting goalie. Made 5 or 6 high quality stops with the best being the stop on Cowan's breakaway. One other positive was the Brown-Di Iorio-Karimov line did look decent together. Wish Karimov could have buried that chance early in the period. Was a great play by Brown to free up the puck
