And with that I think the real 2023-2024 Sarnia Sting have arrived the last 3 weeks. D is to young. Make way to many mistakes. Taking WAY to many penalties. Our best Fs would be 2nd or 3rd liners on other teams & can't execute the overly high level plays that we've seen be scored on us lately.

One coach just had to quit & our HC leaves for a month+ in 2-3 weeks. It could get even worse for them.

As for the game. Ugly. Came out awesome. House on fire. Once we tied it at 2 we completely stopped playing. Not sure we had 5 chances the rest of the way. Dumb penalty after dumb penalty. Bad turnover after bad turnover.

Left Chartier completely out to dry. Stats don't do him justice as he's the only reason they had a shot late.

I thought our best pair was Schneider-Omeri. For just being added with no practice thought Schneider was solid. Liked his physicality & active stick.

LeBlanc gonna be suspended 2 games & Kukumberg didn't play in the 2nd or 3rd period. So back to down 3 top 9Fs!!

6of7 lost. Confidence very clearly is low for this team. See what they go vs a OS team trying to find their way Friday
Also only 15 faceoff wins tonight. Another issue that needs to be addressed.

Sell at deadline
Was never a doubt what they should do. Just a matter of how hard they sell. Is it 3, 4 guys or is it just 1or2?

As I've said before I'd trade Vilmanis & one of 11/25. But if there is a strong market for all of them + the twins then I wouldn't be mad if they totally sold off.

Brightside those guys all continue to score consistently.

To me what we've seen is teams no longer underestimate them..early on I think we really caught teams off guard. We so rarely have been playing with a lead which hurts a lot for a young team. Think the last time we had a lead in the 3rd was the home game vs Owen Sound.

Been chasing & with such a young team it creates a lot of chaos which in turn creates turnovers, penalties etc. u can tell they've lost some confidence in one another as they chase or defend the same guy & leave another guy wide open in a more dangerous spot.

Isn't all on the D either. The Fs have been just awful for covering for pinching D & helping out down low/out front. They've also been the ones turning it over way to often in the neutral zone or at the opposing blue line.

You knew this type of stretch would happen it's just come out of nowhere & not vs level of opponents I expected. Not overly upset because this team simply isn't that good but the up & down effort has been a bit frustrating. The lack of continuity at F certainly hasn't helped. We always are down 2, 3, 4 Fs. Get them back and new ones go out.

If they can't right the ship in some capacity by the time Letang, Vilmanis, Kukumberg leave then it could get real ugly. Top 4 pick & top 10 import pick certainly wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Safe to say WSR will be one of the 2 teams who will miss. Was already a good possibility but after today pretty obvious what direction they are headed.

Honestly don't love the returns for them but who knows what was out there.

Let's hope SAG bolstering up gets other west teams wanting to upgrade, specifially at import. Haha.

Ya I was always wanting them to sell I know one or two people were on the fence before. Ya if they aren’t playing good in December and sitting 8,9 or 10th I’d just sell as much as you can. If they get back on track and playing decent hockey hockey and sitting 5-7 then I’d just sell a couple guys.

We just need some teams to figure it out. like who would be for sure buying right now past SAG LDN SBY.SSM

KIT is probably still undecided. OS is a mess. What's FLT? What's GUE do? Miss is a next yr + yr after team. After that who the heck in the east is gonna add or go for it?

Just looking at the schedule & hoo boy this could get bad. Our next 26 games we play:

LDN x4, red hot FLT x3, rock solid GUE x3 SAG x2, SSM x2, OS x2. MISS once, SBY once, KIT once.

That's 19 games vs teams who probably wanna add/have good talent. Oshawa finally healthy we play twice in that time, too. Erie who's been solid with Gaudreau.

Large majority of that coming with Letang, Vilmanis & potentially Kukumberg gone + some of that post trade deadline where we hopefully sell off.

Think there's a good chance we are closer to a top 4 pick than 7th by the time we are thru those games with how we've been playing & as I mentioned the guys we'll lose then eventually trade.

Been wrong before tho! See if they can get back on track today

They battled tonight. Much better defensive effort. Just don't have the Fs & Jesus Christ this PP is the worst I've ever seen. It is downright embarrassing 12-22-23 ARE ON THE 2ND UNIT?!?????

Helluva hit & fight by Hall. Continue to like him. Unfortunately he isn't gonna be a guy to produce much. Good on Way to to try and get some momentum.

Confidence is very clearly at a low. They can't complete any high danger low% plays. George was great for OS as advertised.

Flint is absolutely rolling and thrashed LDN tonight. Good chance this thing reaches 5 Ls.

This is more what I anticipated before the season so I'm not to shocked. Just getting a bit frustrated with some of the lines, units.

Brightside I've read the top 4 picks look awfully good!

Also hearing one of our AHL guys might be getting traded for some conditional picks soon. TBD if the player is even being sent back tho.

Certainly looks & feels like it could be a rough 2 seasons. Gonna lose Vilmanis, Sikic & likely trade one or two of Filak, Doucette.

Do think & hope the D could be a lot better next yr with Fischer, Young having 2 years of experience & Barr, Hurt, Omeri having a full season under there belts. Hopefully Chartier can be a solid starter. Still wouldn't be great by any means but hopefully solid.

F will be like D this yr. Young. Gonna have Brown, Sim, Luecke, top 5 pick, new import, Hall, hopefully guys like Beamish, Denney, Soares (who had 2G/1A tonight) can push for a spot/make it. Not to mention if they get a 2nd or 3rd Rd pick in this draft.

Just once I'd love not immediately sucking after being good. Always 5-6 months of fun for 2 years of crap then repeat. Very much over trading our stud rookies when we go for it. They have to sell as much as they can for 2026. Get as many picks as possible so we don't have to trade 3,4 young guys.

Team is so bad rn Ferda has disappeared smh. 😂
