Yeah not much going here at all. Figured this game was going to be a stinker when we were talking about the remaining October schedule last week. Haven’t seen a team play us as tough as Kitchener has so far this year. What a interesting situation they have there with the surprising start, but the need to recoup picks. Hard to imagine them selling if they keep this up. Impressive team.
Better effort that period but 0 puck luck. We really need to do something about our top PP unit. On the bright side we seem to play well after a bad loss. So hopefully they can take 2 of 3 this weekend.

The pick situation is....baaad. Might be a slower sell based on their success this year, but it's hard to see Bruz finishing the year in Kitchener. It's now or never.

Lmao Vilmanis has a wide open net IN THE CREASE and he puts it over the net. I have never seen somebody with such bad accuracy..like it's actually unfathomable how bad he is at hitting the net. Then they come down & score. Oy.

First beatdown of the yr. Felt it coming. Just didn't have it at all tonight. Crazy what good coaching can do for a team. KIT is miles better with 25% of the talent they had last yr.

Welp I thought we might be due for one of these. We'll say it all yr but when this team isn't 100% committed to a game they'll likely get beat if not blown out. Just don't have the talent to half ass it.

Could tell right away they didn't have their legs. Played a solid 2nd, but they had no finish around the net & lost control in some high danger spots. PP1 needs work. Filak can't be a primary puck carrier on it. PP2 looked alright with Brown, Young but barely got out there.

Thought Bridgewater had a solid debut. Didn't play much, but couple nice rushes, drew a penalty & made a really nice play on a 2on1. Such an elite skater. Look forward to seeing him next yr. Outside that not much.

Onto Windsor on Friday. Hopefully Wainwright & Hall are back. Could use them especially with Moses out & now Brown may be out. This team can battle as hard as they want but if they start losing this many bodies they're screwed.

The boys got smacked... it happens... the power play scheme needs to be thrown directly into the trash because wow it is bad... Sarnia is almost better off just declining the power play and playing 5-5 ... I think were in for a bit of a coming to earth moment for this team ... schedule gets a bit tougher after Windsor and it's just so hard to win games In this league from grinding.

Even with the loss last night. Still very happy with a 6-4 start to the season. That actually better then are first 10 games last year. I think we will see a bounce back weekend here.

A few positives to take away from last night.

Are penalty kill is still perfect on the road.

Thought Sim had his best game of the year last night.

Also thought Surzycia had a good game to not alot he could do about the goals last night.

Biggest thing for me. Is what I and others mentioned last night. Is that they need to really do something about are top PP unit. IMO I would play the 2nd PP unit more next game.

Saginaw board saying with the addition of Hay, McNamara is likely gonna be on his way out. Former 1st rounder. '05 born. 27 points last yr. Has 5A in 8GP this yr. Really solid on draws.

That's the type of F I'd like to go get. He could be here for this yr, next yr & the go for it yr. He's always impressed me when SAGs come here just hasn't translated fully it seems.

Can't see the price being crazy & we've seen what we do with guys who maybe need a fresh start or a bigger role.

Young, Chartier and Fischer listed as players to watch for Octobers NHL Central Scouting Watch List.

Give me Young on PP1.
I'm with yah. Fischer can be on the PP, just make it PP2 haha. Young is a bit better of a lateral skater & that's big for walking the blue line. He's a bit quicker with his stick offensively too (stick handling, passes).

Id love to have PP1 be

Net front - LeBlanc
LW - Vilmanis
RW - Wainwright
Middle - Sikic
D - Young

PP2

Net front - Filak
LW - Doucette
RW - Brown
D1 - LeBlanc
D2 - Fischer

I would love to get McNamara.i think if it where up to me. I would move Filak for a few reasons.

1. McNamara is a year younger.

2. I think there's more up side in McNamara game.

3. We would most likely. Be moving Filak next year any way considering he'll be an OA.

I'd wait a bit before trading Filak if we are to do so. Let teams get into a bidding war for him. Despite his slow start he'll be a guy teams want. He's a playoff guy. And if we ever move him away from 22 I do think he'll start producing a lot more. Tho he does have Gs in 3 straight.

And I wanna see Doucette keep this up. Don't wanna trade Filak, Doucette fall off then we have serious depth issues & next yr we'd be in need of an OA potentially.

But definitely on board for McNamara.

It will be interesting to see Seca's approach this year. If the twins, Doucette keep up this play & Filak gets going maybe they fetch more than we thought beforehand.

All could be 2 year players. The twins especially have been really fricken good. I'm not sure if they're willing to split up & I'm not even saying I wanna trade them, but that Hay trade probably has teams that'll sell really happy lol.

holy smokes I just saw the return for Hay .... 2 second rounders and 6 picks total for a guy who's got 31 pts in 73 games last year and this year combined ... guys got 3 points this year.... I dunno seems like a ton... good news for Sarnia tho if that is the bar.

Well we have our one & only (!) 3in3 this weekend. Certainly wanna win both home games considering the opponent's but no guarantees especially if we are down all these bodies.

As I mentioned after KIT I'd give Chartier tomorrow & if he plays well he gets Sunday too. But my guess is Letang goes with Surzycia which I don't hate cause he hasn't been terrible by any means.

Be nice to see the other rookie Fs find the net even in limited ice just to get some confidence going. PP gotta contribute at least a bit.

Dave mentioned it, but this stretch is tough. First 3in3, be 6 games in 10 days with 4 games in 6 days ending it. SAG this weekend, OS next, SAG midweek, then an east trip to PBO KGN OTT. Gonna get a real feel as to what we are.

Welp. No Brown, Wainwright, Hall, Moses tonight. Guess Seca's optimism with Hall & Wainwright wasn't correct haha. Hopefully neither suffered a setback. Sucks for Brown. Hopefully it doesn't knock him out of the U17s.

LeBlanc-Filak-Vilmanis
Lominac-Sikic-Doucette
Doherty-Way-Kukumberg
Sim-Luecke

Fischer-LeBlanc
Young-Hurt
MacDonald-Omeri
Barr

Surzycia starts.

Actually liking Luecke. Wish he'd play more. He's got some speed. Other than that man this game is one to forget lol.
