I like the idea of trying him at C to end the year here. Wainwright-Kostuch 1-2 C punch would be awesome for the next 2 seasons. So much speed, pace & both can score/set up & work hard at both ends.Chartier had a strong game, hard to blame him for most of those.
If Wainwright was hurt, it didn’t show IMO, looked electric.
Kostuch IMO showing his great vision and creativeness, feels like a marked improvement watching him now vs his first few games with us. I have both high hopes and expectations for him next season - has really put himself in a position to make a mark on this team.
Won't be holding my breath as it's Sarnia & it'll take luck to win it but 10% increase would be solid. Even if it's just to move to 2. I've mentioned before there's a clear top 3Fs in this class, apparently. So being T3 would guarantee us one of themInteresting... Thanks Savard.
We're due... However it always concerns me when the Niagara Knights are in the lottery.....On another note Browns output has fallen off a cliff.I like the idea of trying him at C to end the year here. He really has come along. Just keeps improving. I'd argue he's been our best F for nearly a month now which says a bit haha, but is still impressive.
If nothing else it's been fun seeing Kostuch, Brown, Wainwright, Doherty play well. Ton of speed between the 4. Hopefully add some more high end talent to them & the Fs could be pretty exciting next yr & beyond.

I don’t wanna see any good fortune go Niagara’s way until they get a new owner and I don’t wanna see Windsor get it. Might be best for my team if #1 is in the East but if you guys luck out and win it it won’t break my heart. Well. Not immediately. Check back in 2-3 years. We're due... I completely agree... I don't follow the draft much at all but from what I've heard from Updates there is no stand alone guy... Which can be good because Sarnia has been burnt a few times with guys only playing 2 years.... So you wanna draft good but not too good lol.I don’t wanna see any good fortune go Niagara’s way until they get a new owner and I don’t wanna see Windsor get it. Definitely went cold. Part because he's been put on L3 with way & tonight Lominac. Asking a 16 yr old to completely carry a line offensively is stupid. We're due... However it always concerns me when the Niagara Knights are in the lottery.....On another note Browns output has fallen off a cliff.
That's good to know... I haven't watched their last couple game I was just checking the box scores.... Lol Way and Lominac with Brown ... what a joke. He should be playing with Wainwright and maybe Doherty... That line would be pretty dynamic.... I would love to be a fly on the wall when Letang comes up with these lines and ice time decisions.... I'd also like to sit in on one of the coaches meetings and hear what Haley brings to the table. I haven't been impressed with Letang's tenure with Sarnia so far....It's not just on the players to get better and develop in the off-season.. Letang needs to as well. Frustrating.Definitely went cold. Part because he's been put on L3 with way & tonight Lominac. Asking a 16 yr old to completely carry a line offensively is stupid.
But other part is he just isn't finishing like he was early on. Been robbed a few times, missed the net a bit. Not worried though. Still making some good plays most nights.
Thanks for the update. That was pretty much the answer I expectedWas a middle round pick. Had a couple games here & there for us. Wasn't great but wasn't terrible.
Came to camp last year as a pretty clear favorite to be the backup to Gaudreau & In camp he started out well then completely fell apart the final 2 weeks of pre season, lost his spot to surzycia & that was that.
Don't know if sting season ticket holders get a few vouchers to hand out to friends but that could account for some of it too. Only a few games left, still have vouchers left, here's some free tickets. I know my dad gets some for Saginaw so I'm using one on the last home game next week.Sold out game tonight. Can't help but think some people bought tickets a week or 2 ago thinking we mightve still been fighting for a playoff spot.
Yeah that was rough from both sides. Jacob Brown weirdly looked better against the higher danger chances and worse against the low danger ones. So time for more shooting from the point LOL. Sim got so close to his first goal again. Really hope he gets one before the season is doneGoaltending after one for both teams
Oof.
Typical Sting win a meaning less game. And shoot yourself in the foot for the lottery.Have a game, Mitch Young! Hatty for a Dman with the OT winner to end it off. What a game he & Hurt had. Combine for 3G/2A, +5. That's a pair I'd love to see stick next year. Hurt blows me away. Such composure for a rookie.
Can't believe Kostuch didn't get a PT today. He was flying. Liked 12-11-55. Seen to have some chemistry growing. Huge game out of the vets (Sikic/Doucette). Sikic with one of his best games getting 4PT & +4. Doucette has such a nasty release.
Liked Andersen again. Plays simple, aggresive. Nice to get an entertaining win in front of a big crowd & the moms.
When Young is on he is such a fun player to watch. Such great skating ability & so good with the puck. Honestly might be one of the teams best guys at attacking off the rush. I could see him having a big year next season & then as an OA.Well that's about all you can ask for in a meaningless game! It was very entertaining! Awesome night for Young with the hat trick! What I loved most about his game was that he didn't force any of his offence. He took the space when it was available. Hurt continues to impress with 2A while being a +2. He showed a great ability to make a pass quickly when he needed to like on the Doucette goal but also could slow the game down when needed. Fun fact tonight's game makes him a +1 in 2024 despite him being 16 and playing top pairing minutes because of the injuries the Sting have faced. He's going to be such a great player for us! Kostuch was outstanding even though you might not see it on the scoresheet. Set up multiple dangerous chances and had a few chances of his own in the third that he came close to burying. Great to see Sikic have a big night in one his final games with a goal and three assists. Surzycia also deserves some credit for that win. He had a really rough first but then battled and stopped 21/23 from there on out. He made point blank saves on Dann and Peer in the third after we had given up the fifth goal. Those turned out to be game savers. Nights like this where we see the talents of our young guys on display makes me really excited for the next few years
Letang is all over the place. Way on 2nd while Wainwright is on third. Makes no sense, talk about doing everything possible to limit some players potential. Would rather see Moses on 3rd vs 4th. Kostuch, Sikic and Docuette had good chemistry. Don’t understand that switch up ether the last game unless it’s to give Brown more opportunity to get out of his funk.Lots of changes to the lineup tonight. Back to 5D with O'Toole out of the lineup. Chartier gets the start. Lines two, three, and four were all switched up.
