Have to play, and not on 4th line. That's the thing, having a 16 year old on 4th line is 1 thing but 2? And sitting is not developing.
Have to play alot. London dows it right and why are they successful their 16 year olds get tonnes of ice ans come back at 17 and jump in.
I'm with sting updates just canr keep more than 1 extra

Little home & home with London to end off the pre season. They are missing just a few OK players who are at NHL camps lol. Be curious to see if Karimov plays both nights or just one. If it's just one I hope it's tomorrow so we can see him live haha.

Be interesting to see who starts as well. Surzycia backed up Tuesday so it makes me think maybe he starts. Whoever it is I hope they can have a good outing even if it's vs a lesser LDN lineup. Need to get some confidence going back there.

As we've said all pre season hopefully some of the bubble guys can standout. This was advertised as a CHL TV free game so hopefully that still happens.

I'm just against sitting 2 healthy Fs every night.. Especially if one is 16 more often. One makes sense, but not two. And it isn't fair to guys either if there's a constant rotating door on line 4.

And u can call them up from Jr B when those injuries do happen.
That’s how most teams are… I just think it’s not fair to jr B teams either. Also not sure if jr b players can be played so much.

Sting gotta be the team who puts in there lineup for the game the fastest lmao. Lines tonight

Brown-Di Iorio-Doucette
Wainwright-Edwards-Luecke
Sim-Filak-Hall
Franceschetti-Chamberlain-Moses

Bridgewater-Barr
Young-Omeri
Andersen-Hurt

Surzycia starts
Maillet backup

Definitely appears as though that Brown line will be one they start the year with. Good decision IMO. Keep growing that Brown/Di Iorio chemistry.

Wainwright-Edwards have spent a good amount of time together now. Not sure I see that sticking, but is interesting to see & they've been producing.

Love Franceschetti/Moses on the same line. We haven't had a 4th line like them in a long while. Just run around hitting anything that moves.

Strathroy signs Gaughan

Listed today on GOJHL Transactions.

Most likely in the lineup tonight against St. Thomas.

This confirms Chamberlain to start the year in the O
They posted their lineup for tonight & he's not in it. Maybe letting him stay up until after the game tomorrow.

Great decision & not one they've made often lately. It'll do him a lot of good. He'll also get to play with Josh Denes who was Sarnia's 9th round pick & is a player I liked at rookie camp & at camp.

Chamberlain I still question keeping up full time, but he has just kept getting better throughout camp & in the games. Speaks volumes to me Letang had him out a ton on the PK vs Windsor. Got rewarded with 2G.

Puts them down to the 14 Seca wanted. So unless they trade Hall (most likely option) F is pretty much settled. My guess would be Sim, Hall & Chamberlain are the 3 Fs who rotate on Line 4 potentially on a gamely basis.

Edward's playing Center huge mistake seems to be restricting wainwrights game. Hate to see that especially with a 16 year old getting reps over 4th year vet.
Doucette diorio brown line looks soft again tonight think that's big mistake but until karimov and kostuch back hard to judge preseason is for getting things going so far I see letang can't coach has not idea what he is doing no coaching correcting young guys need help

We are not looking good tonight.
That's an understatement lol. Just totally flat. Playing with 0 extra energy. Especially the vets. Brown/Di Iorio have been by far their most dangerous Fs. Bridgewater been their best player by a mile tho.

Good on Luecke to fight a much bigger kid. Did decently well too.

Nice goal by Brown who continues to have a great pre season. And the most predictable thing happened with Boulton and Franceschetti fighting lol.

JJ definitely held his own. Boulton bleeding a little from his Nose, but won the bout I'd say.

Don't really take a lot from these games, but man some of the vets should be stapled to the bench the entire 3rd period. Pretty horrendous stuff from some of them.

I'm starting to get a little concerned about our goaltending. Also I'm starting to wonder about Doucette IMO he has not really shown well so far through these games. He also seems to be fanning on the puck quiet a bit these past few games.

This might be Doucette's worst game in the OHL. He can't make a play to save his life tonight. Been putrid.

Surzycia was pretty good outside that horrific 3rd goal. Feel for Maillet coming in midway thru & having to face those chances immediately, but be nice to see a big save like LDN got cause Sarnia has had more than a few great looks themselves.

Tonight is a big reminder tho why we gotta be patient & keep our expectations reasonable for this season. 3 goals have come off rookie mistakes/turnovers. Gonna see a lot of those the first half of the season with how many U17s we have.

U hope the goalies can bail them out so it isn't 6-1, but some nights they won't. In saying that Fischer Hurt Bodin sure will be a welcomed addition to the backend haha. Been quite chaotic back there without them.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if by Christmas we are saying Brown is this teams best F. Dominated camp & has had an awesome pre season. Best part is he's scoring all of his goals from out front. Couple great passes by Barr on those 3rd PD goals.

No clue how they missed some of their other chances. Must've shanked 3or4 open nets. Missed on at least 2 if not 3 breakaways too. Outside that mega oof those opening 40. Idk if they saw LDNs roster & mailed it in or what, but Letang ain't gonna like that effort especially from some of the vets.

Defensively they gotta tighten up. Obviously getting our 3 best D back will help, but Barr/Young/Bridgewater/Omeri gotta defend better & be tougher out front.

Surzycia was solid. Maillet settled in & had a good 3rd but 3G on first 5 shots ain't great. But goaltending certainly hasn't been great & that's worrisome behind a super young team.

Like the battle, fight & the PP has had a great pre season & looked very dangerous. Onto the finale tomorrow.

Does moses know his role on this team? Zero pulse from him and Bridgewater and few others .moses clearly needs to be told his role.
Totally agree that doucettes play is very concerning however same as last year just some older linemates like sikic. L
Mailleyy was solid Surzycia was fantastic no chane on all but 1 weak on through him but it was his 1ar start

Forgot to mention it, but, Hall left the game hurt. Definitely favouring his shoulder, which I believe (not 100% confident) was the same injury he had last year. Not what you wanna see in pre season after these guys put in so much work in the summer.

If he is out a prolonged period of time they are down to 13Fs. I'd just run with that. Hope this doesn't make them flip on sending Gaughan to Strathroy. But hopefully it's just minor & Hall isn't out long.

Super excited to see Karimov. Assuming he's playing tonight. Obviously gonna cut him some slack if he starts slow as he just got here/new country, team, language etc. But still very excited & intrigued to see where/who he plays with. Seca mentioned earlier in the week Hurt & Bodin might play, too which would be nice to get them one more rep before the season starts. I imagine Maillet starts. Might be pre season but it's a big game for him honestly. See how he responds.
