Alright, let’s do that two more times…That is big for Filak, immediate impact. Gaudreau starting off on the right note. That top line looks like it’s going to covert on a few tonight. Keep it simple and stay out of the box and you never know….🤞🏻

Boys deserve this one. Battling their ass off. Anyone else get major Yakupov vibes from that Burke goal?? Wow!!

Othmann is heated. Chirping fans, chirping the ref, players. Gaudreau been outstanding. Finish this off boys.

What a goal by Burke. Never thought I’d be praising his wheels as much as we all have so far this season. He’s on another level. He’s gonna get signed real soon. He’s earned every bit of it.

Would have been really nice to get one on the PP….game is too close to not get your power play on the board.

Sarnia needs to limit the high risk plays at the point in the offensive end. Flint goal is a result of trying to be a bit too fancy making low percentage passes. Cycle the boards and get the puck out front and bang away. Stop forcing things.

Let’s close this one out! Be a big boost.

Big swing for Burke in 30 minutes since this post…

LET'S GOO!!! That's about as character win as it fricken gets. 4D. Kill off a 5on3 & a major. LFG.

Gaudreau's best game of the yr. Outstanding. Burke was phenomenal. Didn't deserve a 5 that was a load of SH*T.

All 4D+Sikic played unbelievable. Blocking shots, key stick checks, clutch clears. Hats off to them all played 25-35 minutes. Especially 17&74.

Man that's a big one. Vs that team, with our injuries & all that went on in the game. HUGE.

Welp...that wasn't pretty, lol but considering I'd say 2 points is 2 points. Burkes play on the 5 min major was dumb on his part but I don't feel he deserved a five , Flint was diving all over the place all game .

Despite the officials trying to dictate a different outcome, Sarnia held on and some how pulled it off. Props to Gaudreau who did what we needed him to do. Huge sacrifice from those 5 guys who played D tonight, they legitimately saved goals by laying down on numerous occasions.

Burke was a beast. How he got a 5 for that hit is beyond me. Flint brought their swim team, not hockey team. Refs bought it. Likely will loose him for 2 games because that’s just how soft this league is now.

Always extra sweet when you get the last laugh. Especially against a bench as yappy as Flints. 👌🏻

Piercey, Othmann lol. Great players, especially Othmann but good lord. They were to busy chirping fans to worry about the game. Never seen Othmann look so off. Couldn't do anything. Was definitely rattled.

Would've been a heartbreaking loss. That's 2 games in a row vs FLT that each go to OT. We are right with them & it's a real rivalry now

Coaches chirping, Othmann - Burke hate each other as they never stop chirping. I can not wait until Hoover & Dillingham are back vs them. Neither have played vs them & i gotta imagine they are beyond fired up to. Not sure some of their guys will be as tough anymore lol.

I don't understand their staff. 2nd game in a row they just start yapping at ours for literally no reason. Letang looked so over it. Act a little professional cmon now. Has to have a trickle down effect on the players as they became side tracked chirping fans/players too.

Thought Filak did very well in his return. Games like this, rivalries like this are made for players like him. Namestnikov deserves some love too. Multiple big blocks, couple good hits + an assist. He's really been skating hard lately.

Wish MacDonell would've finished that shorthanded OT chance. What a clinic he put on there. Burke is a stud. He's getting that contract soon & it's gonna be so well deserved. If he stays healthy he's scoring 40+. Horrific major call. dumbfounded they called it that. He'd be my pick for captain if Dilly didn't have it.

Fairly quiet night for Voit which makes it even more impressive for us. He did have one big block though which was great to see from him. Vilmanis 3 straight 2 point game. Think the floodgates are opening for him. Too good not to.

Haley wasn't on the bench today so it makes me wonder if the flu bug is maybe going around the team. didn't see all the scratched guys walking around like usual either. Well deserved day off tomorrow. hell of a win.

First thing I thought of when Burke scored lol. So reminiscent outside the finish. What a player Burke has become. Hopefully doesn't get sspd (he shouldn't...) & he can continue to set the league ablaze.

Other than Daviault’s “cover nobody” on Flints second goal, the patched up defense corps was awesome. Got lots of defensive help from the guys up front too. That’s the kind of game that needs to be played every night if this team is going to be a winner.

Yah that was rough. I'll blame being fatigued. Haha. He & Ritchie are so good when they play like this. Use their skating, passing but don't over do it. Very effective D when they do that. Hopefully carries over when everyone is back.

Also, forget to mention with Othmann he intentionally rifled a shot at the Sting bench. Was incredibly dangerous, stupid & it could've really hurt someone. Could've hit a trainer, coach in the head & been a terrible situation. I'm a fan of his but that's some major BS.

Othmann is a donkey. A very talented donkey but I'm surprised someone hasn't filled him in more often.
In re to Burke, I've got think NHL teams have been really focusing on how much of his production is due to playing w Voit. I think he is more than proving his worth lately.
Great job by Sikic tonight filling in on D. We would have been in big trouble without it.
Big studs tonight IMO were: All the D, Burke, Gaudreau and MacDonell. Everyone else played well and smart but no standouts.

I'm a fan of his but that was incredibly immature. Imagine that hits a trainer or coach in the head.. be really bad. Thankfully it didn't.

Ritchie said post-game Sikic & he skate together & he plays D whenever they are short. Saw that today & he actually did quite well. You could really see how much his skating has improved on some of those odd man breaks.

MacDonell was a beast on the PK late in that game. Hilarious watching him yap with Piercey all game considering the giant size difference. 0 fear in that kid.

Like I said before I really look forward to the next meeting when Dilly, Romeo & Hoover are in. Finally have a real rivalry it feels. Been quite awhile. 7 game series between these 2 would be epic.

Great character win for the Sting, especially with being down players. Even more important you find yourself this season in the top half of the conference standings. Taking care of your opportunities in killing a late game 5 minute major and then cashing in on the too many men OT penalty showed the grit that your team has. Your season and team look promising. Hope to have the opportunity to get to a game this year in Sarnia

Just happened to notice that the Sting website and OHL website never counted Voits OT assist last night he should be at 31 points but he still listed at 30

That ridiculous skill translates but will his size hurt is the question but I think he is elusive enough to not get hit much...
I think he will be fine, he’s no smaller than Johnny gaudreau. Not sure his skill is quite at the same level as gaudreaus but it is very high, I think Voit is a better skater than gaudreau (better edges). If he gets an opportunity with a sniper like matthews or Robertson in the top 6 I think he will definitely succeed a premier playmaker.

Do you guys gals think Voit's skill set will transfer to the NHL?
Gonna be tough. You have to be supremely talented to be his size & be successful at the NHL level.

He has the vision, playmaking, creativity, edge work but I do wonder how it'll all translate. He holds onto it for long periods of time & does a lot of risky, dangerous plays that he can get away with here but might struggle to do vs pros.

He consistently gets better & better tho so how can you count him out. One of the funnest players we've had. Such a pleasure to watch.

I think a large part of him holding onto the puck for a bit longer than he should is the fact the players around him just aren’t at his level. He’s waiting for them to catch up to the play. You see how often Voit has to slow down a play to get some outlet options in place nightly. At the NHL level those options are going to be available to him in a more timely manner lol.

I can see Voit reaching the NHL. It will depend on his strength and conditioning mostly. He will get his fair share of time in the AHL but I see him as a regular in the big leagues at some point.

I don’t think we’ve even seen the best of Voit yet either.
