Have to wonder whether we see some signings in the next few days to help fill the void left by all the injuries. Some options would be Will Bray ('21 9th rounder, in GOJHL with Niagara Falls), Liam Eveleigh ('20 6th rounder, in GOJHL with Elmira), David Green ('22 5th rounder, in OJHL with St. Michael's Buzzers), Nathan Omeri ('22 8th rounder, in GOJHL with Hamilton), Brock Reinhart ('21 U18 1st rounder, in GOJHL with Elmira), and Mitch Young (acquired by the Sting before the season, in OJHL with Wellington)
Some might not want to give up ncaa eligibility to be a stop gap for a few OHL games

For sure it's a really tough spot. Eveleigh looks like the best option. 10 points in 10 games in the GOJHL with Elmira this season.
I liked him but for some reason he wasn't even at camp/rookie camp. Idk if he was hurt or if he has interest elsewhere..

We'll soon find out I'd imagine cause they can't make the same mistake as last yr where they ran 4D for 3 weeks instead of signing someone. You'll destroy the 4D who r being asked to play 30 mins a night.

Will say I thought Campbell played excellent tonight. Brutal spot to be in & he played very well vs a good team. Think he'll be a good one for us just needs some refining, added strength.

How fricken frustrating. Got a solid team, playing good hockey go into the weekend with a chance to be 1st by the end & now we sit 5 back of 1st & have 4 D out with some good teams up next.

Always something with this team.

invite the one guy with the most snarl in his game, not to fight but to get in players faces maybe throw a hit or 2. If these guys are worried about NCAA, time to move on

Biggest issue with the guys out are they are the physical, nasty ones. Leaves us with Ritchie, Daviault, Campbell who aren't physical, nasty at all.

I remember liking a few FAs at camp. Wouldn't mind seeing one of them brought back & maybe one of the guys @SarniaStingFan mentioned. Still tough sledding with who we play but at least it's a breather for the T4..

If that is the case for Romeo I'd consider trading him because if he has a broken hand he'll be out for a while and we need to make room for Dillinghan plus I'm more of a fan of Macdonald and Hoovers games anyway

Not too sure who's gonna want to make a trade with us for a player e a broken hand but who knows, maybe throw Niagara a line and see what bites. At this point the season could slip away fast if nothing is done. Time to earn your money Seca!

Niagara might give us seven 2nd rounders with how many goals they are giving up..

Sounds like Mast, Filak should be back Sunday. Dillingham really close. So might not need to make a move.

Last thing this team needs is to make a move for a defensemen, unless that guy is gonna score 40 goals. Relax, it’s a few injuries, Hoover will be fine. Mast will be back this weekend. Dilly next weekend likely. We need our 7th overall pick of a goalie to act like one and clearly need to bring in two legitimate top 6 forwards up front. I know Ty Voit is godlike but come on, he can’t keep doing this for 68 games on his own with such a small supporting cast.

Always such a tough decision. I also am a massive fan of Martone & his upside, especially when he's 18 & 19. Think he'll be a force. Problem is teams rarely trade elite 18 year olds unless the following year also looks really underwhelming & even then they probably don't wanna do it.

Wright is the only player I'd discuss trading him for that will be available. He'll arguably be the best player in the entire league & is a C. KGN wants to host the memorial cup next year & will covet players who will be impactful next year.

When looking around the league at teams who may also want him I don't think their '06 is as good as Martone which would give us a major leg up in negotiations. KIT doesn't have one, FLT reached for Pitre (from what I read), Can't see OS doing it this year, he's better than Beaudoin (BAR), better than Van Volsen (PBO) + doubt they'd do that big a trade in division. MISS has no picks.

Leaves OTT & WSR. OTT is also in division, but have the picks + good '06. But Mews (the '06) did put up a stink at the draft so he seems like someone that may not want go anywhere. WSR definitely could. Have the picks & their '06 is a stud. Even if they didn't wanna part with him (Christiforo) they could offer Miedema ('05 1st) & KGN would probably really like that.

I really do think if Seca & Co sat down & said we want Shane Wright they'd get him. They have the ammo for it. But we don't know what type of GM Seca is yet for moves like this. Sinclair would make it 10 out of 10 times. We saw what happened when he did it for Konecny. We lost (as usual) & it set us back years. Seca seems aggressive but also pretty smart. So he may as we r going for it but not at the expense of the next 3-4 years & he'll only deal picks & wainwright or Namestnikov. & settle for 2 solid additions like Arcuri/Harrison/Bloom, etc.

spot on with everything. We have alot of injuries, but every team gets them during the season and I’d rather go through it now rather than before playoffs. I’d focus on getting two guys guys to make the top 6 elite to give Voit help, he has this offence completely on his back. Either get wright and arcuri or get arcuri and zhilkin.

I think I need to withdraw my blast on Mast for his performance last Wednesday. If he was too sick to play vs Windsor then he was likely less than 100% vs Guelph a day earlier. Likely only played since Romeo was hurt.
Very fair point. He was awful. Arguably the worst I've ever seen from him. What u said definitely makes sense. Had 0 jump, energy & looked noticeably slow.

Hopefully feels better for tomorrow cause if not we are screwed vs Othmann.

I was a bit hard on him before his injury but Filak's absence has really highlighted his worth to the team imo. We've missed his passing, 2way play. Especially with Sikic & Namestnikov's combined 2 Assists. Wouldn't mind him with Vilmanis.

Doherty played for the Legionnaires tonight (1G/1A). Might be an indication Filak is back tomorrow. Doubt they'd make Doherty play wed/thurs/sat/sun.

Degelas, Priddle each scored as well.

Another tough game today vs Flint. hopefully we get a lot of what we saw the last time these two played. Becoming a real rivalry as they do not like each other at all. Would be really, really nice to beat them for the first time in awhile. We played right with them which has to give us confidence, but winning would do a ton for future matchups.

Hopefully Mast, Filak are back & maybe Dillingham. Need Gaudreau to right the ship & have a big game & we need the other lines to step up. Voit's line can't do it alone vs a roster like Flint has. Looking at Wainwright, Sikic, Namestnikov, especially. Get Harper back in the lineup to lay the smackdown on someone again (lol) & get this W, boys.

Ben Gaudreau this season has a 0.865% save percentage and a 3.53 avg which ranks him 32nd in the league. Needs to turn it around and fast. Not anywhere close to where he needs to be. Big game today, he needs to steal us some games, starting today.

100%

Those numbers are god awful. 32nd in the league meaning BACK UP goaltenders are performing better. I’m not going to beat a dead horse here but the numbers don’t lie. It’s not like he is being shelled with shots every game. It absolutely needs to start today with a steal, but I just don’t see it happening. Another ugly one upcoming I think.

4 D, 2 of them being rookies against Flints offense…..this should go well.

Which stats are you looking at? OHL site shows him 15 th out of 22. Brochu ahead and Thornton behind . Let some more time elapse and see if some of these other goalies trend down . He'll get it together

D played simple and effective, really liked the effort. Sikic looks decent on d! Namestnikov tries and makes those rink wide passes in the o zone with multiple players in lanes all the time and it either gets intercepted or ricochets off the boards. Wish he'd just keep it simple and shoot on net and look for rebounds.
