1st & 3rd were good. 2nd yikes. Gaudreau our best player today. Some grade A stops on their best guys.

Fricken Lombardi man. What a player he is lol.

Really balanced effort top to bottom. DBB has really come into his own after starting slow here. Mast/Del Mastro are just ridiculous together. 1G/2A, +4 for both. Rough day for Kyrou but good on him to stick with it & score a big one. Filak with a great weekend. I like him in the T6. Just way more effective.

now we wait & hope Voit is okay before we meet LDN again )who beat Windsor!)
What happened to Voit?

What happened to Voit?
With a minute left in the 3rd, Guryev hit him well after a goal. It was intentional, he got 5min boarding penalty, probably more discipline coming given his history. Bit of a size difference there, and Voit wasn't expecting it.

For me maybe the biggest thing we've seen the last month is Gaudreau's improved play. This past week especially was the best he's looked all yr

Movement looked good, positioning was spot on, no goals from a distance. Yesterday especially the team did not play anywhere near its best & he really bailed them out. Especially in the 2nd.

Its been great to see him look like hes having fun & enjoying himself again, too.

Gonna be another tough stretch for him (LDN, NB, LDN, WSR) may be his next 4 starts. Hopefully, he can keep up the great play. Would be a giant x-factor for us heading into the playoffs.

Dillingham wouldn’t stand a chance

No intent to injure, you could see it on his face after the hit
I'm sorry but if the whole damn team doesn't jump Guryev after that, the Sting have a bigger problem than a possible Voit injury. Letting a cheap shot artist take out your top player without a MASSIVE response sends the wrong message to the league. It's old school but Lombardi should be put on notice.

Not sure which statement is more laughable. You could see it on his face lmao. Yah he only ran a guy 3 seconds after a goal, leaped even though he's SEVEN inches taller. The entire game he was taking runs at ppl.

He's probably the player who's been suspended the most currently in the league.

Think we've seen it enough times this yr this team has no problem standing up for one another.

Burke, Del Mastro tried to get after him. Del Mastro nearly went Givani Smith & almost threw the linesman lol. Mast gave him a shot.

Imagine had there been more than 1 minute left the game would've gotten real stupid. Benches were in each other's faces the entire penalty review. Can only imagine if Hoover & Anderson were in too lol. Might have really became old time hockey haha

I agree. I was fuming watching it and my intial reaction was wondering why no one went absolute bananas on Guryev.

Miss the old days when garbage like that, didn’t go unpunished.

This is where the instigator rule is BEYOND stupid. Had Del Mastro went rights nuts & got an instigator. Guess what. He gets a 2 game sspd & misses Friday in LDN.

I can't stand it. Same thing happened to Ritchie earlier this yr when that MISS guy headshot MacDonell late in a blowout.

That’s when ya really miss the old days of guys like Mashinter, Davey, Didiomete and so on. Guys who if you lost for a game or two to a suspension wouldn’t hurt the team as much.

You know how they have the DH in baseball, why not a DF in the OHL? "Designated fighter", one player (or two players) on each team that's allowed 10 fights!

That would probably be a lawsuit just waiting to happen. With all the concussion protocols the league has introduced, and the active discouragement of fighting, I just can't see them going anywhere near this. Mind you, I was never one to not enjoy a good scrap. During my time as a Knights fan, I got to see some very good players who were never shy about dropping the gloves. From Dan Maloney, right through to Sean McMorrow., there were more than a few.

Haven’t checked out prospects too much, but one having a really solid season is Nathan Omeri (D). 9G, 24A in 48 games.

He's one of only two '06 born D in the top 60 (he's 14th) for D scoring in the GOJHL. We took him in the 8th Round last year. I know at the time he was ranked a bit higher & ppl thought we got some good value.

Gonna be a lot of open spots on D next yr. He'll make a push for one of them

It’s Guryev. It was beyond dumb, completely uncalled for and he’ll rightfully get suspended. It IS one of the good reasons why the instigator rule is dumb and if there’s a guy that doesn’t deserve that kind of BS, it’s Ty Voit. There are VERY VERY few guys in the league that will or want any part of Artem in reality though and Del Mastro is actually one of those few. Now. Watch the view from the end boards though. I’ve seen Noah Bushnell hit his teammates harder than that in warmups. Literally. You have too. If you think that was Guryev putting anything really into that hit, you’re mistaken. I assure with 100% certainty Ty Voit wouldn’t have been taking part in the kiddie skate afterwards if Guryev was really trying to lay him out. Every single game we watch dudes try to goad Guryev into stuff. Jabbing, running their mouths and getting tough from behind the linesman after the whistle. It gets old. I know. I remember. It’s where the game is now because of the instigator and it’s sad. Same with not being able to ensure the safety of guys like Voit and Pastujov and I’d have to watch the game again but I HIGHLY doubt Ty has at any point this season been that dude being a punk with Guryev. He’s gonna be gone for awhile but watching him this year….I doubt SJ signs him and any Sting that want a crack at him will probably get a shot next year.

Doesn’t matter how hard he hit him, he shouldn’t have done it at all.
