Good lord what a putrid pd of hockey. Nobody is moving their feet or making passes. Gaudreau didn't look good at all either.

How does everybody on earth know it's a trap game except the players playing in it.
 
man what an awful goal let in by Gaudreau ..... literally a midget goalie wouldn't have done that... The team isn't playing well but they tie it up ... they need him to make a save but no.

Atrocious. Have to be a million times better than that. PP keeping us in the game just like last night
 
Hoo boy Gaudreau. What are these rebounds Jesus. Everything right back into the slot. The last place it should ever go.
 
Lucky to be tied. Don't be fooled by the score, we've played terrible tonight. Lines 1&2 have been a no show so far
 
They've been horrible tonight. Been so lazy & way to cute. No clue why. 2nd PP unit is drastically outplaying them.

Boys better wake up & bring it in the 3rd. Would be completely throwing away last nights great effort with a piss poor one tonight

Took 55 minutes to wake up & now their goalie is playing great. Embarrassing effort 24 hours after our best effort.
 
So god damn frustrating. Everybody, EVERYBODY knew this was a trap game & they fall for it.

F*ckin terrible effort from start to finish across the board. Not one good performance outside maybe Del Mastro.

Now they gotta beat Ottawa to have a successful weekend. Annoying.

Big wake up call at the very least. Just because u added doesn't mean u can half ass it. Hopefully, it's a lesson learned.

See what happens Sunday in OTT who went thru the same thing tonight vs Hamilton. Gotta be A LOT sharper than that. Everywhere. Line 1 needs to wake up a bit. Voit, especially.
 
Classic Sting they suck you in with a great game and then play like sh*t the very next game. Everyone OHL player plays in the league for a reason, YOU SHOULD NEVER OVERLOOK A TEAM! Yet that's exactly what this team did. Legit don't have one standout tonight. Awful all around and that includes the coach who continues to play 11&7 for no reason. New players aren't going to gel when they're playing with different teammates every shift.

I thought L2 had some great shifts, but Pastujov has gone a bit cold for finishing his chances. Won't last long but hurt tonight. Thought Sikic was our best player. 2A & now has 3G/6A in his last 5 games. DBB has points in all 3 games with us. Sucks he hit b2b posts on that early 3rd pd PP. Like his game a lot.

Burke & Voit -4 each is unacceptable. Voit's trying to be way to cute. Especially on the PP.

Also, first two games with Flint, Dann is -7. Can not believe the fall off he's had. Looks like a totally different player this season.

Fronts fan but Leafs fan first - I absolutely loved Voits play on Del Mastros PPG, the backwards skating until someone opened up was dirty, but unfortunately other than the PP opportunities I hardly noticed him.

What's Sarnias opinion on Gaudreau? It's just one game but I wasn't impressed at all, the goal called back for offsides should never have gone in, and there seemed to be a lot of second chance opportunities.

Either way - it seemed like an off might for the Sting because you could tell the skill was there, they just couldn't come together.

Honestly, I think it would be the wrong move to go right back to Ben when we play Sunday vs OTT. Surzycia has played better in front of this team more times then Ben if we are being honest. That should not be discredited or over looked. They need to find a good mix of getting Ben his #1 starts while still getting reps in with Surzycia. Besides, extra rest seems to benefit Benny.

Why isn't Surzycia our starting goalie? Or at least 50/50. Gaudreau starting last night was such a coaching blunder. I can't be the only one that see ever single shot being kicked out directly into the slot. At this point everyone knows hes bad and there is no improvement coming. I hear it's just 'no confidence" but I'm not buying that either. Since entering the league Ben has been in the basement in every goalie statistic. Our management not going with Thornton is gonna bite us in the ass. We decided to trade a goalie who is SIGNED with an NHL team to keep Ben who was a 3rd round pick still UNSIGNED... why? The NHL saw Thornton was better ... why not Sarnia too?

Gaudreau had better stats than Thornton did last year, i probably would have got rid of him too. Also the coyotes signed Thornton which really means nothing because they are the sting of the NHL. Ya gaudreau has been terrible this year I’m on board with that but the last couples years our team defence was god aweful, we were getting 40-50 shots on average and he was keeping us in games or atleast keeping games close. His numbers weren’t great in those years but facing that many shots and that many high danger chances on a nightly basis almost no goalies in the league would have good numbers. He is a completely different goalie this year plain and simple. That’s all I’m going to write on that. He definitely needs to be better but he he’s definitely significantly worse that the past years. Him at 16 years old was a lot better than he is now.

And the coaching staff will reward his poor play against a bottom feeder team by giving him Sundays game. Zero accountability from Letang but I wonder how much influence Seca has since he was the dummy that drafted him 7th overall and it’s not exactly working out too well. But hey….keep going with the excuses. We must put feelings above all else before putting a quality product on the ice. :rolleyes:
