Not a surprise. Might get drafted if not probably invited to some NHL camps.

He'll need a big summer to go pro. Gets beat clean to much & showed a bit of a temper at times lol.
I am a firm believer in Education, take advantage of the education Package and go from there. Look at the percentage of players make the big time. the only people making money trying to make it these minor pro leagues are the agents

Actually pisses me off seeing ohl finals tweets, clips lol. Nothing against either team just genuinely so annoyed, butthurt, disappointed.

I do think another yr in the O would do him good. He needs to get a bit more consistent, maybe needs to mature a bit from a temper standpoint & learn to not let things bother him.

Definitely has all the tools to one day be a great pro. Can't forget he lost a full yr of development, too. Didn't go play overseas either.

We'd definitely look to trade him to a contender, too.

We are in a weird spot in net. They are really banking on Chartier becoming something. See how it all plays out.
Maybe he looked at the San Jose situation and didn't like the look of their future starting with the AHL team. For some players this is a shot at a reset and maybe a better team

It could be worse. You could be a Spits fan.
As much as that sucked least u went to the finals last yr lol. Multiple mem cups last 15 years.

Definitely. See if he gets taken & by who. If not he'll definitely get a number of invites.

He has to go where the leafs tell him, part of the contract he signed. Even if he doesn’t lay on the NHL, He will make decent money in the AHL or oversees playing pro. Then he can get into coaching or scouting after or go to college and start a different career when he’s done hockey.

Not the biggest fan of things like this, but I do appreciate Legwand putting this out. They got the city to rally around the team like never before. Was really cool & fun to see.

Very appreciative of how much he & Hatcher (is he even on board still lmao) have put into this team. Only been around a little bit & we've had 3 of our best seasons under them.

First yr with a good team lost in 7 RD1, second yr with a good team lost in RD2, third yr with a good team lost in RD3. Hopefully that upward trend can continue for when they are good again lol.

Still beyond disappointed & frustrated we haven't won jack-all, but I don't put blame on them. We certainly aren't a top tier organization, but i feel like they've done a good job making us feel & seem more legit & professional. Have heard a lot of good things about how player's have enjoyed there time here the last handful of seasons.

Can we please just not have to wait 30 years to get to the final 4 again? Please?

put it into context tho here for a second here .... Letang had the oldest roster in the OHL and one of .... if not the most talented one too. The team was highly under-performing early in the year. In the playoffs Sarnia faced two re-building teams who traded their best players for runs in the next 2 years... They looked just meh in those first two rounds... especially Guelph. Sarnia got lucky we didn't play Kitchener round 1 and Windsor round 2. Sarnia had the easiest path to the west final we've ever had. If looking at the season on paper without adding any context sure you can say he was good... I disagree with anyone who says he was good... hes a mid to bottom mid coach. The guy can't even pull the goalie right. I am hearing some in the organization thought he should have been better and didn't make the necessary adjustments to keep up with London.... I said at the start of the year that Sarnia will always be out-coached and out-goaltended.
But he wore a yellow tie Dave... come on.

Had someone tell me they've heard Hatcher is no longer part owner of the team. Has anybody else heard this?

I have not heard this but I wouldn’t be surprised. This year he was basically a silent owner. Legwand seems passionate and looks like he puts in effort to trying to make this club successful on and off the ice. If it’s truee I hope he find a co-owner that is passionate about team success like him.

Why would any team waste another pick on him. Obviously they thought they needed him to take him. No going will hurt his reputation for sure. Some team might take a flyer on him in the late rounds. He is just an OK goalie.

To call it maddening watching PBO light Bowen up on a ton of questionable goals would be an understatement. Don't say that either because he was good vs us. More of an indictment on us.

I feel like your guys played a great game 5, but London won based on a full team commitment to defense....and while the Knights still played well defensively in game 6, I felt like Sarnia had already packed it in and conceded defeat.

I really feel like Bowen's success or lack thereof has more to do with the Knights' commitment to team defense, and for whatever reason, (possibly illness), their energy level and commitment just hasn't been there the last 3 games. I really don't think Peterborough is any more talented than Sarnia. They just caught the Knights at the right time.

Development camp happening today and tomorrow. Does anyone have a list of the players that are there?

No list but from what I could tell it was a decent turnout. Luecke was there. Don't believe Quinlan, Kosiba or Jette were there.

Saw they had Pastujov there & he gave a speech to all the attendees. Nice of him to do that. Letang also gave a speech & it was interesting to see the part they showed (Instagram) he was doing video work & the title was GRIT.

He was saying they (he, coaches, Seca) sat down & went over why they lost & in their opinion they weren't comfortable playing in the tough areas. He made a point that going forward he wants his teams to be comfortable in this gritty/nasty areas. Had a graphic up putting a box down the middle of the ice & in front of the nets at each end.

Spot on analysis & I imagine next time we go for it maybe you'll see Seca target bigger more rugged Fs, but who knows when that'll be & if they'll ever have an opportunity as good as they had it this yr.

Hoping to make it out to the scrimmage tomorrow. If I do I'll make a post on who stood out & what not.

They seem to have the same problem as the Leafs.

I think one of Quinlan, Kosiba, or Jette must have been there. They posted a picture of the draft class today on Instagram and it had 13 players in it and there were 15 players in this years draft class

I think Kosiba was there and Quinlan and Jette were not. They live much farther away than Kosiba and are a big time reach to get to sign.

Saw the scrimmage. Was more physical than the LDN series lmao.

Standouts:

Sim ~ major Rees vibes. Small, quick & sick hands. Had one rush where he deked the D then went thru the legs for a chance. Hopefully grows.

Brown ~ probably the best F of the 2023 class (you'd expect). Quick, good hands & nice vision.

Soares ~ really stood out. Fast, grew a bit & showed off some sweet hands. He'll push for a spot at camp.

Luecke ~ a lot to like. Big, smooth skater, good hands. Hope they can sign him.

Hall/Doherty stood out but you'd expect/hope for that.

Gillis was really good in net. Huge kid & moves really well. Honestly reminded me of Thornton.

Chartier looks like an OHL goalie. Way he moves, anticipates etc. Gaudreau gave him his retro pads (nice of him). High hopes for him.

Other goalie was a FA (can't remember his name) but he was solid too.

Bridgewater is a great skater on D. Barr looks like a good one. Ton to like with him.

See if they sign anybody.
