Power is better offensively 5on5 that can't be ignored. But Sanderson is much better defensively currently so I do take Sanderson.Sandy outscored Power 38 vs 33 points last year. And has 3 points vs 1 this year.
So I'd still say they're close offensively, although Sanderson is ahead.
You're probably not pleased that Jake has a massive lead in this poll.
Idk if I agree about his iq. Vision 100%. Sanderson still beats him in iq regardless.Right now, it's Sanderson, but going forward, it's too close to call. I think Power is taking a big step forward this year. But I'm always the optimist, so we'll see what happens. Power has the potential to be a very special player. His vision and IQ are extremely high. Just wish he was a bit meaner.
Saying Power can't defend is ridiculous he just isn't physical he can still hits every now and then its not like I can call Quinn Hughes not good at defense for literally not being able to hit 90% of the players in the league because he's miniscule. You can still play solid defense with good stickwork.Sanderson can actually defend in the NHL out of the two. So him.
not saying Power can't defend, but he shouldn't be defending like Quinn Hughes at 6'6 his size is an asset and if he isn't using it thats a red flag.Saying Power can't defend is ridiculous he just isn't physical he can still hits every now and then its not like I can call Quinn Hughes not good at defense for literally not being able to hit 90% of the players in the league because he's miniscule. Sanderson is a top 15 D in the league. From last year.
Sanderson should be a lock for Team USA. Sanderson, Slavin and Hughes on the left with McAvoy, Faber and Fox on the right side.

Most underrated player in the league actuallyPower is very overrated.

When you have to set your own limitating rules to be right, you already lost the game.Expand your mind and look beyond points. Power is a very unique player, his point totals are very much not indicative of his offensive impact. He's also had significantly fewer PP opportunities than Sanderson and at 5on5 he still outpaces him by the aforementioned 35% in terms of individual production.
Not sure what you mean by results, but feel free to post some metrics, to back your claim. You'd never guess Power's closest 5on5 comparables in terms of ice-time and results are Doughty and Heiskanen the way people talk about him on here lol
I don't even disagree with people taking Sanderson, just don't go full hyperbolic "better at everything" when that's clearly not true
It has nothing to do with Power being bad. Sanderson is just that good. You'd never guess Power's closest 5on5 comparables in terms of ice-time and results are Doughty and Heiskanen the way people talk about him on here lol

Bang on.It has nothing to do with Power being bad. Sanderson is just that good.
I'm just not sure what Power is actually better at than Sanderson though. Sanderson is a very complete player, he does pretty much everything at a high level. He looks like he's taken a big step forward offensively this year now, multiple times a game the offense will run through him and his shot looks like it's gotten a lot faster this year too. You'd never guess Power's closest 5on5 comparables in terms of ice-time and results are Doughty and Heiskanen the way people talk about him on here lol
