Chris Kreider, veteran that he may be, is 5 years my junior and a complete and utter chump. Which he proves again and again, starting with being afraid of the C.
Thanks for sharing, I love that.I go back before that, when it was just two teams in the late 70s, early 80s.
For the Isles it was Jiggs McDonald & Ed Westphal. Ed was a bit of a clown, way too much of a homer, but Jiggs was actually very good.
Before Sam, the Rangers had Jim Gordon & The Big Whistle, Bill Chadwick. I was really young, but I recall Jim Gordon was excellent, a real pro's pro who also did the radio for the NY Giants. I remember Gordon way more for his Giants work, but again he was just really good at whatever he did. Really unheralded, which is a shame. Chadwick I don't remember as vividly, but I do remember he was entertaining.
I became a teenager when Sam took over for good & he's been the only guy since the Rangers became my favorite local team & that was the same year hockey surpassed baseball to become my favorite sport. It's been so long, we almost took him for granted. I'll miss him dearly.
I believe another snub was given to Phil Esposito. He will be in the studio occasionally next season I thought John seemed to say.
Did anybody hear Sam thank James Dolan? I didn't.
Fitting that the last goal scored this season comes from kreider to Zibanejad. F u game from the previous core.
He made it very clear how grateful he was to Espo during the MSG pregame show.I believe another snub was given to Phil Esposito.
Tonight was the 2nd time when his name has been mentioned to Sam he only complements Esposito’s playing career.
Never there friendship or their work in the booth.
Sam is a gentleman amongst gentlemen. He will never ruffle any feathers. I could not tell you exactly what he thinks of Dolan. I CERTAINLY can tell you what his family & close friends think of Dolan. It's exactly what you would expect. He will be in the studio occasionally next season I thought John seemed to say.

Sam ADORES Espo, and vice versa. You're reading too much into this.I believe another snub was given to Phil Esposito.

its really a late round second pick. Just a horrible trade and that's not 20/20 hindsight. Close to where Will Cuylle was picked. Nah we didn't need another pick in the top 60ish.I rather play Robertson over Soucy. What a waste of trading a 3rd round pick. Dom Moore was a former 3rd round pick. What a bonehead trade
Gordon & Chadwick were great (and, as someone stated, very entertaining). Marv Albert was also very good.I go back before that, when it was just two teams in the late 70s, early 80s.

And if they made the playoffs they couldn't have?it feels kinda appropriate that they missed the playoffs so they could just celebrate Sam like this for the last game.
Potentially. Only the 1st round is shown on regional broadcasts. If the Rangers lost in round 2 (or later), Sam wouldn't be doing those games. And if they made the playoffs they couldn't have?
Congrats on the news, hopefully it helps to put this season in the rear viewI got some great news in my personal life yesterday, almost simultaneously with this season ending, and it really feels like this shitstain of a season was just a humiliation ritual to get to this point. I believe in such things.
Thank you Sam Rosen, Thank you Chris Kreider. The end of an era for fans of a certain age like myself. It's fitting to me that they go out together. When I look back, Ill only remember the good times. LGR.
Nice to see you back again. You were on a tear with your photoshops before your hiatus. LGRCongrats on the news, hopefully it helps to put this season in the rear view
