Wonder where Epperson goes in the draft this year as a re entry? If he keeps it up, could crack round 3?

Edit: that might be a bit optimistic. Romani was a 6th but not sure on what his fall backs are
I’d say 3-6 somewhere but probably too early to tell. Also scouts will be taking into consideration he is playing with MM

If you watch Saginaws games, he drives play as much as Misa and is a menace without the puck. If he slips because teams think he’s only putting up numbers because of Misa whoever does take him is going to be really happy

I’m well aware of that I’ve seen games that’s why I said 3-6 some scouts may say third round some may say 6. Don’t think he’s going to top Romani’s numbers last year for 58 goals and 110 points and he went in the 6th round. Lucas Edmonds a few years back was a 20 year old “rookie” in the O here and he put up 110 points and got drafted in the 3rd.

No offence to epperson but draft re entries don’t get looked at the same as draft year players. You have to really dominate and misa with his 12 or 13 goals so far being a projected top 5 pick in the draft will get a lot of credit for that. Also a long season and we are less than 10 games in. What if epperson goes on a slump with all the scouts in attendance watching Misa

I would argue with the extra attention with Misa, Epperson will have more opportunities to get noticed. He had the pedigree of USNDPT now putting it together. I would see teams picking him between late 3-5, just needs to be consistent through the season.

I was hella impressed with him.

I have not seen much footage of Chernyshov. He is probably back in two months or so. So that certainly makes us better at no cost.
Papineau needs some games that’s how injuries happen if Oke plays all those minutes. Amagine a bonifide D sure would be great. Drinkill holding his cards close to the vest so far. Time?

They are off to a decent start so maybe he's not super hurried to make something happen early. Maybe he waits another month to see if they can keep it up?

Very true, you never know if it’s not broke don’t fix it. Good to see some of the rookies doing well and stepping up

Epperson with a C on players to watch list which indicates a 4th/5th round selection. Believe I said a few days ago about I could see him 3-6 and 4th/5th is right in the middle.

Could have a big dy+1 especially if misa is back next year. I don’t think he should take this to heart about only the 4th 5th round(as of right now)

Years ago back in the Sam Bennett days we had an amazing guy named Henri Ikonen. He only got drafted in the 7th round but him along with Bennett were by far the 2 best fronts imo. Obviously with Bennett being the #1 ranked guy in North America for that year people underrated ikonen. Perhaps similar with misa and epperson

Obviously though. Ikonen didn’t translate to much and I don’t believe he ever made the NHL. Epperson may be a different story.

Papineau is finally healthy. He'll get the start tonight. We'll be able to do a standard rotation now. DiBlasi was sent to Chatham were he can get games.

Saginaw fans.
My wife and I spent 4 days in Michigan attending Flint and Saginaw/Attack games.
While our team failed to secure a win , we were proud of the effort.
Firmly in a rebuild year, we have 11- 16 and 17 year olds.

What was of more importance at Sundays game was the special presentation for cancer survivors.
My wife is a cancer survivor herself, next spring 5 years.
She was the last patient to get surgery before covid shut our hospital down .

While she didn't participate in the photo or on ice pre game ceremony she was encouraged to sign the survivors banner and was presented with a survivors t-shirt.
She spent the game chatting with a lovely couple who billet Spirit players .

So the game was a win- win .
We really enjoyed our weekend. Thanks for the hospitality fellow OHL fans .
Hope to see you in Owen Sound one day !

I got to go to Owen Sound twice with my twins, once through a raging blizzard in March of 2008 and again with them in February 2013. Got to meet other Saginaw Fans at Shorty's before the game in 2013. Glad to see Shorty's is open again.

So happy your wife is a survivor. My sister-in-law and mother-in-law (twice) are survivors too.
