Pretty much trade Mintyukov for Donovan.
Which is a good trade off. smart move. cost was never going to be an issue with some of the guys we can recoup assets with. but thats a thought for another time.

Wow what a bunch of trades you guys made holy shit. You guys are 1000% easily the ohl favourites right now.

Is there anymore picks left?
I believe we have 1 3rd left but we're done

I think that should be the goal, right? Push assets forward to the years you need them. That is textbook.

This is why I am dumbfounded by Kingston not moving Ludwinski. they added Dubois. They are going to get left in the dust after the deadline. If they aren’t now scrambling to find a taker for Ludwinski at a fair price, they will regret it badly.

This is the EXACT reason why you make those moves.

Giving up that package of picks for Dubois was a pretty clear indication that Kingston was buying.

Dealing Ludwinski now would be a total contradiction.

Agreed. Which is why I criticize them.

But, there may be some logic in trying to maintain some sort of competitiveness to carry into next season if they want to make a run. In that case, I guess they could argue trading for Dubois and getting a nice haul for Ludwinski makes some sense.

I didn’t like the Dubois deal for them at all, but now that Brantford is waving the white flag by giving away Donovan, that’s going to make Kingston even more delusional in thinking they’re a contender.

One thing is for certain though, Saginaw is the clear winner of the deadline. Honourable mention goes to Peterborough.

Not that they have anything left really, but as others have pointed out, Saginaw is out of cards now. They are done.

I will admit I was totally wrong about Glavin getting dealt this season. I don't think it was for a lack of interest. Brantford wanted more picks as they will use them for ammo next season. Also Guo being hurt likely made it so that we had to keep him to have 7 D. I still like him as a bottom pair shut down guy. Never gonna wow you but fine enough.

An excellant job by DD, getting Bloom was some unexpected move this GM seems to do when needed and the rest was who he wanted to acquire.. A+, Beck, Donavon, Dionico and Christopolous.

Saginaw and Soo everyone saying has the best D. Wondering if someone can give a rating on players. Just wondering how Kitchener stacks up.

Kitchener in order D depth (rating based on talent for age group not OHL overall)
Bruz 2004 A+
Ando 2005 A
Motew 2003 B
Savard 2005 B (my guess - new player)
Reid 2007 A+ (awesome but young)
Campbell 2006 B-
7th D - Dirracolo 2006 C-
